Rooms are beautiful, some imperfections here and there, but it just adds to the character of the place, also Very clean, and well furnished. The bed was a bit soft for me, but that is down to personal preference. The one place this venue absolutely stood out was the service, which was impeccable. From start to finish we were well cared for by friendly, helpful, charming staff. Also the food was excellent. I mean, seriously good. Rooms don't have TVs. Bring a book if you intend on spending a long time in the room.

Just stopped for a quick pint on way back from Canterbury (there was a fallen tree on Stone St so ended up driving back to Ashford via Wye etc), so no chance to sample the food but was busy for a Wednesday lunch time so must speak for itself. Had the lovely garden to myself so could enjoy the sunny weather and great location by myself. Will definitely come back at some point with the wife for lunch, but guess will need to book as has always looked busy when I've cycled past in previous summers.
