Sat down to eat delicious seafood lunch with my family at 2pm . Well looked after . Then at 6pm violently voiding my bowels and belly. Not recommended.

Our waiter was an older gentleman, his name is possibly Nick from reading the other reviews but I can't remember and also didn't ask. He was very polite and had an answer for everything that we asked. It also looked like he was covering the floor of the whole restaurant and outside as well and seemed like he was the only one doing it. There was another waiter/waitress that I maybe saw once or twice but in no way covered the amount of work that our waiter did. He is a credit to your Pub!! I don't think he quite got our banter at first however he did obviously have a very long day as the place was so busy all day, he did son warm to us! We were told very quickly that they had been extremely busy throughout the day and there were a couple of things missing off the menu, we don't mind that it is to be expected and it can not be helped. We were also told that because of how busy it was that food might take a little longer to come out again we understand that's not a problem at least we were told up front. The food was amazing and it was lovely to eat with such a great view overlooking the pond. My only criticism is on the signature burger the beef brisket in the cheese sauce was a little weird. It tasted very smokey as if the beef had flavoured the cheese sauce from the description I was more expecting beef brisket slices and cheese sauce drizzled over. However this wasn't my meal so no big deal, I just wanted to try it. Over all very lovely visit and from reading other reviews I think people have too high an expectation of things that could very well be out of the pubs control and doesn't really reflect the pub or the team working there in anyway what so ever.

Absolutely shocking service from an older woman last week who was rude to us and clearly hated her job. Food was slow too. Have already sent an email to the management but had no response, such a shame its changed so much.

Upon arriving for a booking, we were met with a really monotone and uninterested young lad greeting me and my partner. He then started to walk away from us (after using the computer for two minutes to find our booking) then said “Follow me”. That wasn’t a great start. However, service was a bit hit miss. Me and my family were served by a new guy Joe, who was very kind and delivered great customer service. We all had the Sunday Lunch and the food was cooked beautifully. Though, sadly it was lukewarm. Joe was incredibly busy serving other tables, and it was rather bizarre as we asked a number of servers to make a drinks order and they said they could take it and we had to wait for our allocated server. We found that very bizarre! Also, three young boys in football gear were running from the back courtyard, through the pub and back again. Right where food was taken to and from the kitchen, drinks were being carried and people were eating. The parents couldn’t be bothered to sort them, so I wished a member of staff would of kindly mentioned something to their parents before an accident took place. Overall, Joe our server was wonderful. However, I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon. Too disappointed by the overall service and atmosphere during this lunchtime’s service.

Nice evening out with friends. Very busy and like many places these days short on staff. Food cooked to perfection. The waitress was pleasant and considering her work load, happy to help. A little to noisy for me but it only takes one person with a loud voice to start everybody else talking loudly
