I had placed an online order for delivery the week before Christmas and with all the chaos of the postal strikes my package never arrived. Fish Society were extremely quick to send me a replacement order which thankfully arrived in time for Christmas. I was more than happy with the service, but today I also received a small gift as well as an apology letter from the company. This really is going above and beyond, especially as the problems with shipping were completely out of their hands. I’ve ordered snow crab clusters and king prawns a couple of times now and always been amazed by the size and quality.

EVERYTHING comes frozen!! I ordered roll mops, oysters and the fruits de mer platter and it was all delivered frozen. Even the roll mops that are in vinegar were frozen!! The description for the platter said some things may be frozen, But everything i received was frozen and delivered at 3pm, so inedible until the next day. What a disappointment. Better off ordering from Smiths of Ongar who sell fresh seafood.

Ordered two pre cooked lobsters, paid over £50 for them and the amount of meat that actually came off them was a really low amount. Lobsters where also full of red eggs - shouldn’t have been caught if pregnant.

Have had a couple of orders from here and am very happy. Delivery is great and the fish comes really well packaged. Customer services respond to questions really quickly and one lady even searched for a recipe to help me with the fish that I was ordering. They offer misshapes of a good number of the fish and this is excellent for me as it works out cheaper than ordering a piece of fish. I have been able to try fish that I haven’t had before by buying the misshapes. Thanks very much and will defintely buy from here again
