What a place šŸ˜ I was gifted a voucher for The Ferry House & we decided to use the voucher for breakfast one morning. The location is off the beaten track which we loved. First impressions were great, the grounds are stunning, the staff were very warm & welcoming and the food was gorgeous. We sat outside in the sunshine and felt like we could have been abroad, it was amazing and we will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Located on the south of Sheppey on the Isle of Harty.. Not really an island as such, but separated from the rest of the island by watercourses. It's a 4 mile drive along the Harty Road to get here. It's single track, so be prepared to give way. The road, although tarmaced, is in a very poor condition now, and caution is in order. The Ferry Inn is a historic building, with new additions. Close to the sea front with views across the Swale. Parking easy. Downside, sadly, was the food. Very expensive at Ā£35 for two courses. The portions were very small and not well prepared. My steak was fair, but the basic dish consisted of steak, 6 chips and one spring onion in batter. Peas, etc, we're sides at extra cost. So, nice position, lovely views, but if its food you want, go elsewhere.

Wonderful location with lovely views and walks next to the estuary . Lots to see for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Hotel has lovely clean comfortable rooms plus a well stocked main bar with lots of choice . Friendly service especially from the young waiting staff who took time to talk to us at the table. The quality of the food is high with attention to presentation and the ingredients, although I was left underwhelmed with the small amount of food offered on my lamb main course for the price paid ( hence the 4 star overall rating reflecting value for money rather than 5 star) which looked more like a taster course albeit incredibly delicious. My wife had better luck with the 10oz steak which I subsequently wish I had gone for.A tour of the Kitchen Garden is recommended with enthusiastic friendly gardeners . Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay and a tucked out of way treasure.

We had a last minute reservation and the staff were so kind and accommodating. There was a slight confusion on our booking but the staff couldnā€™t do more to assist and slot us in. They made us feel welcome and Beth was a superstar if I had my business there I would definitely steal her she couldnā€™t do more for us. Food was excellent and drink and reasonable they also gave my son a slightly larger portion for his kids meal as his has asd and has an expectation of what the portion size should be. I explained and they were so kind I will definitely be retuning and highly recommend it. Greta views quiet and play area for the kids. Definitely book this one and stunning inside and out.
