We were lucky enough to visit on a blue sky mild early June day and phrases such as 'the nicest pub garden ever' were thrown about. The view in the garden is the best I've ever seen, the seating was quality ratan sofas and chairs and our drinks order was taken as we sat there and brought to us. I've never had waiter service in a British pub since the COVID restrictions. The outside dining area was excellent, I only saw the inside of the pub for the obvious call of nature but it all had an elegant style. The menu was excellent although I have to confess being a Sunday I only took notice of the Roast menu. We had drinks before, during the meal, appetizers, mains, pudding, and tea after and the bill was something in the order of £50-60 per head plus a service charge that was 10-15% that I was happy to pay as all the staff were excellent. I have not seen the rooms, but my expectations would be high judged from the rest of the establishment. Great garden, service and view. Go for a Sunday roast. I'm glad I don't live nearby as I'd be there a lot. Oh nearby there was a nice set of barley fields for a circular walk, you may even spot a glider from Little Rissington on the opposite hill whilst walking. Speaking of barley, the pub has Jeremy Clarkson s Hawkstone larger on tap.

Absolutely incredible food, beautiful setting, with welcoming and professional service. Best place we ate in the Cotswolds, by far. We had the bread with marmite and beef dripping butter, truffle egg appetizer, octopus appetizer, lamb main course, and sticky toffee pudding. Every dish was incredible. Michelin quality for reasonable prices. In retrospect, we should have gotten the tasting menu - something we can look forward to for next time. Oh, and the view of the sun setting over the Cotswolds hills while you dine is just as spectacular as the food. Just go, you absolutely won't regret it. Thanks Nest team for a wonderful time.

To say this place is stunning or exceptional is an understatement. I was taken aback by how great everything was, from food to service, the Rooms, the stunning views, the amazing people who are running the place; simply the best place I have ever been to in the Cotswolds. I cannot recommend it enough, I felt it was a home away from home.

The location of this place is outstanding, the views and village are wonderful, a true Cotswolds classic. The service matched the location and not only that but the food was similarly top drawer. The veggie options are good, the cauliflower main was very well received! The meat eaters will be blessed with a wide range of choice, with the lamb main a delicious meal. The menu offers burgers (top quality) too for a more traditional pub option, but be sure that these are not basic is standard!! Prices are punchy, the lamb for example was £30+ and steaks are similar, so dinner isn't cheap, but the quality is high. The only downside is that atmosphere was lacking and a bit "empty'. That was because the place a bit sparse and so the buzz of a happening restaurant is missing. Overall a big thumbs up.
