Such a great pub. Been meaning to try for ages and finally came for dinner. The food was so good, the drinks selection was excellent and the staff really friendly. If this pub was in N London it would have been reviewed by a newspaper critic and have queues out the door. Lucky it's our local!

Was very quiet considering it was a Bank hoilday Sunday. Unfortunately, everything is smoked. Chicken was massive and tasty but the cauliflower cheese was inedible as it was so smoked, it was sickly. Our waitress Rebecca was very sweet. The manager David however needs to take a course in how to work with his staff. We ordered all the food together and Rebecca suggested we have our starter first as the chicken took 30 mins. David came over saying the same while Rebecca was at our table. We told him we had ordered it as a starter and in front of us he said to her "Well you did that wrong!" A few other times we saw him speaking badly with his staff. They all seemed quite on edge.. I wonder why. It doesn't take much to be kind.
