Incredible restaurant. Go in expecting an experience rather than a standard menu, because this feels like a form of theatre. The price is brilliant for what you get, and the service was incredible. It feels like staff are having a chat and not just serving you, which is lovely. We were there for 5 hours, so this isn't a quick dinner thing.

Prices are on the higher compared to other 3 Michelin star restaurants in London, but worth every penny. Food was mind blowingly good, there were the classic dishes such as "sound of the sea" and "like a kid in the sweetshop" as well as new innovative dishes such as "langostine and shitake" and "Sake". Service was impeccable, waitstaff were extremely attentive and engaging, cracking jokes to break the ice. Everyone in that lunch service got an equal opportunity to tour the cellar and had a complimentary glass of wine/mock tail. The dining area one might argue was abit dated. But I felt was quaint and cosy. Would love to come back here to celebrate another special occasion!

I recently dined at The Fat Duck and, while the experience was definitely unique, I can't say that I was blown away. As one of the most well-known fine dining restaurants in the UK, the prices reflect the hype surrounding it. However, the dishes on offer were more or less the same as those that have been widely publicized on TV and in the media, and the whole experience felt a bit like a factory or conveyor belt. This was largely due to the fact that everyone in the restaurant was having the same dishes more or less at the same time, so you could hear the whole spiel before it got to your turn. While I understand that The Fat Duck is one of those experiences that many people feel they need to have if they can afford it, I personally wouldn't choose to repeat it. Overall, I would say that the restaurant is worth a visit if you're looking for a special occasion or to tick it off your culinary bucket list, but don't expect to be completely wowed by the food or the experience.
