Extremely Impressed ! - Traditional Engravers with Traditional Values and Quality Services Standards - "I can't recommend this Lady and her business enough" We had been trying to get the urn containing my recently deceased Dad's ashes engraved in Old English font with some depth the way we wanted it for several weeks without success. The urn is a heavy brass based one with a pewter finish/overlay. We had made numerous enquiries from many engravers who all said what we wanted done, they couldn't do. Despite all their marketing blurb and hype on their websites about having been in the engraving business for decades, and that they could do both machine and traditional manual hand engraving, mostly all we were offered was trophy style lazer scratch engraving with no depth at all. We were even told that we would have to try an industrial engraver to get what we were asking for which would cost a tidy sum. Safe to say, from the extensive research on engraving we had done, we were not convinced and continued our search. From our initial contact with 'The Family Trade Engravers', we were extremely impressed with Storme's professionalism, helpfulness and responsiveness. She showed genuine interest in what my Mum wanted for my Dad's urn and how we wanted it to look. Storme even went so far as to advise on different styles of engraving on the material of Dad's urn and the pros and cons of painting in the text in black. She even offered to produce a sample of the engraving style we wanted on another item she had and it turned out to be exactly what we wanted. Once we had decided on what we wanted exactly, the turnaround time for receiving the manually engraved finished product was literally 48 hours.We were so impressed. We had decided not to paint in the text in black because as Storme pointed out, it looked more elegant without painting. She nevertheless said that if we changed our minds in future, she would be happy for us to come back and she would do it. We were also very happy with the cost we were charged which was extremely reasonable especially for such an important, 'one of a kind' custom job. I subsequently discovered that Storme and her siblings are 3rd generation traditional engravers and that the profession and high level skill has been handed down directly through their family from their grandfather's time. I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Storme and The Family Trade Engravers.
