    I have an 90 day notice accounts, since October of last year, thet have been government increase not once has this company raised rates ..they have a windfall account that increases every time , but is now closed and won't be given to existing customers, there Web site is so dated , I'm closing my account and going to these new accounts , which are more product friendly.. do your research much better rates .. Today 28 March, this building society, brought out a new easy access account paying 3.20% ...mine is a 90 day notice accounts paying 3.02 %, so for me to have this account I have to wait 90 days , I knew this when I signed for this account, ,what I don't understand , is why they haven't increased mine according, it was always the longer you tired money up the better the interest rates certainly not with this building society... ..very disappointed..

    What a horrible bank!What a horrible customer service! Fake politeness,utter ignorance, stupidity by staff.Absolutely unbelievable. They shorten my life by 5years. Joining them was one of my biggest life mistakes. Zero common sense, zero skills. Sorry I have to say I just find them stupid! I simply wish them bunkruptcy so they don't put other people through what they put me through!

    To be honest, I need to write this review regarding The Family Building Society, so pleased with the call. Firstly my call was picked up quickly and I asked to speak with Linda Franklin because I have read past reviews on how Linda is so very helpful. Well I was passed to Linda Franklin promptly! Linda gave me all the answers to my questions regarding Mortgages, she explained very clearly and not rushed at all. Linda gave me her time and was very pleasant in her manner, caring too! I really do recommend approaching The Family Building Society. I would give many more Stars! All in all very pleased indeed!

However, on this occasion, Tom from the New Business team went out of his way to deal with my issues and could not have been more helpful Following up when he said he would and helping to get the right team to address my particular concerns.     This is a family friends experience - Almost impossible to open an account. Old fashioned and time consuming having to send ID backwards and forwards in the post even though they have checked the applicant and opened an account only to them 'not liking' the certified ID and asking for another! Unbelievable how this cant be uploaded on line! Its 2022 not 1902... Wasting customers time and getting them to jump through hoops and then writing letters saying youve got 5 days to re certify ID or we shut the account and youll have to start all over!

    I rarely leave reviews, but on this case I felt compelled to. Linda on the new business team was by far the most helpful person I’ve ever interacted with at a financial institution. At the 11th hour our mortgage offer was due to expire because our solicitor somehow failed to submit the required documents by the underwriter’s deadline. It was only thanks to Linda’s sustained efforts, which was quite frankly above and beyond anything I’ve experienced from a bank or building society, that the mortgage was finally processed with hours to go. Thank you.
