The whole team at The Eye Company are amazing. Their customer service has been above and beyond in all the visits I have made. The optician was so helpful and calming when I had a vitreous detachment while on holiday. Their advice on which frames to buy is spot on. The proof of great service is what happens when something goes awry, as it does. When something did go awry the team took responsibility and fixed the issue again above and beyond.

Best place in London for luxury frames. Couldn't ask for a better experience as well. Really helpful and nice staff.

Terrible service. Popped in as was looking for frames. Was trying some on for 15 minutes and not one member of staff offered to help. But an older couple came in and they were helping them. Think they pre-judge their clients. I walked to Dover Street Market and shopped there instead.

Refused to let me try on frames "without an appointment" when there was no one else in the shop. 🤯 Best avoided. Esp. given the angry response to my review here. There are so many other friendly opticians in Soho: Finlay, Cubitts, Ace & Tate, David Clulow. Very similar bad experience to a previous reviewer (Paul Khanna). I arrived 15 mins *before* closing time on Saturday. Just wanted to spend 5-10 mins trying a few frames. Asked politely to do this and the woman at the front desk refused point blank saying I needed an appointment .... to try on frames that were literally within arm's reach as we stood talking. Mind blowingly bad customer service. Update: Hostile response from the owner gives you a clue what kind of service you can expect here. Disappointing to be falsely accused of being rude and aggressive by someone who wasn't present but there you go.

The door says “open”. I rang and was asked if I had an appointment. No. “OK we are usually by apt. only but we’ll LET you come in.” Pretty unfriendly welcome/snobby. Service was fine. Not like the rave reviews posted here. I ended up buying a very expensive pair of JMM that I liked. I didn’t experience what others posted and I’ve been here twice with the same outcomes. I’d look elsewhere for a stockist that will be more respectful/engaging.

Has to be one of the best eyewear shops in London, UK or Europe even. The brands are carefully curated and are best-in-class (Dita, Mykita, Jacques Marie Mage, Thom Browne, Matsuda etc). You will find frames here that you won't find anywhere else. But more importantly, the customer service here is unrivalled. So personal, thoughtful and passionate. I can't recommend this place enough.
