Received the single bedroom next to the lift which makes it impossible to sleep between 1am and 6pm as it’s so loud. Promised that I can have a new room next day but next day they said maybe next day. Room still have the same dirty glass when I got back. On the positive, the free breakfast was probably more like a one star plus except that the table was so wobbly so the coffee spilled over when I cut into the scrambled egg so part of it ended up in my laptop bag. I’m sure there are 100000 better hotels in London. I’m looking forward to another 3 nights here 😀

(Translated by Google) My husband, my son and I have eaten in a hidden garden of a Victorian hotel 4 min. from the British Museum, in the shade of the trees in a super quiet corner. At a rustic table and seats they have treated us with great kindness; We have eaten some club sandwiches and one of salmon, all 3 with chips, a delicious chocolate cake for dessert, coffee, tea... I highly recommend it for a quiet break in the middle of your visit to London.

(Translated by Google) Hidden gem in London. The restaurant is in the garden of a hotel. The style of the building is Victorian. It is a quiet, comfortable place and very close (less than 5 minutes walk) to points of interest such as the British Museum (British Museum) or Russell Square. The quality of the food was quite good and the quantity too. We asked for ketchup for the burger and fries, and they didn't have them 😱 The taste of the coffee was average, well, you know that in much of the UK the taste of coffee is "dense to digest". Customer service went unnoticed. Pretty clean and organized establishment. The bathroom was very good, clean and had soap and paper. The price seemed fair enough for the area. I give 5 stars mainly for the location, tranquility, quality, quantity and price. We enjoyed a real summer day in a curious garden in the center of London, it was quite hot (+25°C). I would recommend going: Yes, especially if you are hungry (not very hungry, you are NOT going to get fat but the quantity is not bad) and the place is perfect to rest and replenish energy. You can't see the ticket but it was approximately £30, we ordered: 1 hamburger with fries (without ketchup) 🍔🍟 1 fish & chips with salad with tartar sauce 🎣🍟 1 coke 🥤 1 iced coffee ☕ To this value must be added the tip for service. The best thing is the garden is very quiet 🧘♀️ The food is good but it is not delicatessen nor is it a large quantity, they are not super friendly but in general it is very good, and even more so when compared to the options around.

After popping into a pub without air conditioning and popping out again after feeling the temps in there (it's almost 90 in London today) we found this gorgeous garden spot where the tables were shaded from the heat by huge trees. We were the only ones there at 3.30 pm, but the server was really friendly and helpful and we took a chance even though there are so few reviews. The fish and chips were excellent, really light breading and skinny fries. Definitely the star, although we would have preferred a bit larger serving of fish. The Greek salad had tons of feta and black olives, and the nachos were perfect for us, chips with salsa, sour cream, guac, and cheese (not american nachos). Along with 2 glasses of wine and a bowl of soup, we paid 50£. Sorry we didn't take pics of the food, but here's one of my parents in the garden. This is the garden of a hotel; you do not need to be inside the British museum to eat here.
