Went to the Drunken Butler a few years ago and thought it was amazing. Went a couple of nights ago and thought it was very average and very expensive. The pricing was actually outrageous - the food, the wine, the many βextrasβ. The restaurant is pretending to be something it is not.

Chef and foods are good and charing. Nice wine list. Spent 200 per person yet the service is quite disappointing. While most of the staffs are super nice, friendly and welcoming, one the petite female staff seemed new and quite rude -- she was nice at the beginning then she just gone loose by constantly squeezing in between our seats rudely and talked to us while blowing breath on our faces. And constantly abruptly squeezed us while serving and removing plates, like grabbing things straight from our hands while we were still using it. She didn't bother to even say thank you when we made the Β£500 payment. Big turn off by having this gap between qualities.

We absolutely loved the place π you definitely need to book and definitely don't be in a rush . The food is freshly prepared daily . Worth the wait in-between dishes as you are a tasting Michelin Star food and the tastes are AMAZING π thanks to who I'd like to call my friend the Head Chef and all he's staff as they are a great bunch of people , knowledgeable, helpful and have a great sense of humour. The ambiance is so comfortable, so relaxing, you will see from my photos. I have pictures of the dishes , which I will name when I next visit as so much goes into every dish with flavours out of this world , worth treating yourself . They are also opening a wine bar across the road which will definitely be worth a visit. Top notch, everything else we eat now is bland in comparison π keep up the good work guys and see you soon π€ Dietary restrictions: Speak to the guys , they will advice you .
