£25 to park our motorhome on gravel for the night 😲 The toilets were clean but very rustic. We had a meal, 2 x baguettes and 2 glasses of wine, which was nearly £40. The young waitress was very pleasant and that's about it. For us, the best part was the location, as it was only 5 mins to the Euro Tunnel. Wouldn't stay again. Lovely little English pub, the food was well presented and tasty with a good selection available. The service was very good, the bartender being polite and friendly. Had to grab my own salt and pepper but otherwise couldn't have asked for anymore more. Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet … More

This place was great, seemed quite busy for one bartender/waiter (surprise sunshine the likely cause) but Colin took everything in his stride, welcoming, friendly and genuine service with a smile and no signs of the pressure 😊 Food was fab too, but the service definitely made the is 5* experience. Thank you

Absolutely amazing food! Spicy prawn and veggies were amazing and the short rib starter even better! The service was prompt, friendly and efficient even though it was busy for only one person. Highly recommended 10/10

We took my in laws here for a late mothers day meal. Not everywhere is open and serving food late afternoon on a Monday, so I was happy when I found this pub. I had called ahead to check they had room, but I needn't have bothered as there was plenty of space. The bar was full of locals, and the welcome was very warm. The lovely barman showed us to a table and gave us some menus. We ordered a wine (obvs) 2 beers....I want to say maybs San Miguel and a lemonade. My in laws don't generally eat a lot so we had 3 started between us, a prawn and salmon cocktail and 2 lots of the halloumi fries. The halloumi was delicious. We all know I like my cheese and I was not disappointed. We followed this a ham egg and chips, a cajun chicken burger, a beef burger and a cod burger. Everyone said the food was delicious and all plates were cleared. I thoroughly enjoyed the cod burger. Then we had 2 chocolate orange bread and butter puddings (one with ice cream, one with custard) and a pecan pie (I think). The pudding was a bit rich for me with the massive slab of ice cream bit delicious all the same. We had a few more drinks, maybe a coffee and the bill came to around £160. The pub had a decent atmosphere, a roaring fire and excellent service. I didn't use the facilities but no complaints came from my family. Would defo recommend and go back for more!

our friends had been and told us the food was good. However we were very disappointed. The food lacked presentation and in general was at the best mediocre. The cod and chips was all right but not cheap . My wife and friends food were very similar food not good . Staff did their best.Portions were large. My wife had tagliatelle with chicken in batter whilst quite tasty the presentation was very poor. Will not be rushing back
