Great place to learn the drums in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. I've been drumming for over 15 years on and off and this is by far the best place I've been for lessons.

I've been coming here since starting as a beginner a couple of years ago, and have loved it. Richard is a great teacher, and clearly passionate about drumming. He helps you develop techniques through playing fun stuff rather than monotonous exercises, so you end up learning a lot without it feeling like work. You can take it at a pace that suits you, and it doesn't matter if you don't have your own kit (I don't, yet). I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who's considering learning the drums!

I would recommend the Drum Academy. I started drumming at age 46 thinking that I had left it too late but have thoroughly enjoyed over 9 years of lessons covering a whole range of drumming styles. Richard teaches very flexibly and will help with whatever you want to do whether it is exam based or, like me, just for fun and the challenge of learning something new.
