It's not the best experience. It was very expensive for what we got, no bacon on the £18.50 burger when it stated it. They added a service charge for 7 people, which included 3 children.

Very nice premises and garden in a beautiful location, but.... Just shy of £35 for 2 sandwiches (1 of which was chronically short of content) and 2 short-filled pints. Seriously!

Absolutely perfect for our Sunday lunch! Just visited this pub, gorgeous setting and lovely gardens. We reserved a table online. We arrived and no one was inside. This was fine for us as we prefer quiet dining spaces and had the inside pretty much to ourselves. Many people were sat outside in the gardens which were pretty too. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Food was lovely and definitely would recommend it. Nice to see some different veggie/vegan options on the menu too than the beyond meat burger most places go for. It all felt good quality, presented well and all for a great price! We will be back :)

2/3 meals came out cold, sent one back and it came back still cold, pork roast didn't come with the apple sauce and crackling. No one told me it was out. 1 of the party ate about half their meal before stopping. Myself and another finished our meals due to beimg so hungry. My fish was about 2/3's the size of other peoples, and the chips were less than others- think it was a child's portion. Basically gave up on our meal and just accepted it, even though the meal was very expensive for how it was. Came here for a treat. Felt bad for the serving staff weathering all the complaints as the table behind us also had an awful experience with food. Service charge was added without telling me and without showing me the bill, fairly certain under guidelines from The Office of Fair and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 this is illegal.

Beautifully presented pub with plenty of charm and character. Dog friendly and relaxed environment. Not able to comment on the food as we only stopped by for a refreshment part way through our walk.
