Popped in for a carvery lunch. Unfortunately it wasn't great. Veg open so dried up. No pork. Service at carvery poor but at bar good. Food & drinks: Would recommend the menu food more than the carvery.

Wonderful restaurant/pub. Had the cavery, Amazing food, had turkey, beef, pork mix, succulent, full of flavour, Wonderful taste, roast potatoes were excellent, crispy shell, lovely taste, the accompanying veg & sauces were perfect. Really enjoyed the meal, good price, well worth it. Staff were excellent, polite, helpful & very welcoming. They got a good selection of local ales, nice prices. Would highly recommend 10 out of 10, already booked to go again.

The Down Inn is our go to carvery place. The atmosphere is nice, the staff are quick and the food is of great quality. It’s not a place for a budget meal but the prices are very good considering the quality. Only real downsides I can say would be that the car park is gravel so you’re bound to have a bit of dust/dirt transfer into your car and that the building can get quite warm in the summer but that’s really trying to find a negative. Overall a really nice place to eat.
