After being told that food was an hour wait (which i dont get as the pub was empty) it finally came out an hour and a half later. We ordered 2 mixed grills, 1 chicken burger and 1 macaroni cheese. The mixed grill was all burnt, the chicken breast was brown and the steak which was supposed to be medium rare was more like well done. The sausages was black and the chips was cold. When we have had this before it would come out sizzling. This was barely warm. We could see on the chicken burger that is was dried out and burnt before it even reached the table. Before the macaroni cheese came out i demanded my money back as the quality was nowhere good enough and we went to a harvester instead which was much better. Its a shame as the food in the dog & partridge used to be very good, not anymore and we will not be going again. It doesn't even deserve 1 star but i had to give that to get the review in.

Came here for lunch and left feeling disappointed. Firstly the menus and table was sticky. We ordered the sizzling combos, one meal came 15mins before the other so we sent it back to be reheated, so we could eat together. The food wasn't great at all. The steak we ordered was medium and it came well done and tasteless. The onion rings were forgotten from the plate, so they brought 3 out late which were soggy and lukewarm and so was the scampi. The chips were lukewarm and overdone. The waitress was apologetic but I don't think we'll be going back.

Food was as expected with good pirtion size and cooked to a good standard. Staff were helpful and attentive. Lost a star as the table was really sticky and not very well cleaned ... looking at other tables they could all do with a deep clean top and bottom Kid-friendliness: Good menu helful staff

Bar staff not very happy. I know its a bank holiday but smile. Ordered Nachos for 2 for £6.79 . Was a packet of doritos with the smallest amount of cheese. Hate to think what a portion for 1 is like .
