This was our second stay at The Dog and were amazed to be given an upgrade to the Bridal Suite no less!! THANK YOU!! After a leisurely circular walk to Ikham we were ready for our late lunch, which was of course, superb, the Romney Marsh lamb melted in the mouth and I ate the Chai tea pannacotta so slowly as I never wanted it to end.... Sadly, this meal was marred somewhat by a particularly loud family on the next table with a constantly crying toddler. However, Matt obviously noticed us and another couple exchanging raised eyebrows and as soon as they left, came over to apologise and offer us a drink on the house. The gesture was much appreciated as there was little he could do in mitigation. Gorgeous food, fine wine, a fab 'Gin of the Week', super staff.... we shall certainly be back for a third time!!

The best Sunday lunch we have had to a long time. Only a short drive from our base of operation in Hythe, this delightful pub is lovely, friendly, great staff, very dog friendly (in or out) and the food was delicious. NOTE: the car park is very small, 6/7 cars max and so you might have to park on the street.
