Had a great visit to The Deck 747 this morning. The experience itself was great and staff onboard were very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. There's also lots of extra little bits to explore and activities to take part in. We also spent a lot of time in the shop looking through and buying various bits of memorabilia. Would definitely recommend for any plane enthusiasts. Staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome.

This was amazing. I bought a 45 minute 747 simulator experience for my 16 year old son for Christmas and we went in March. Right from the very second we arrived (which was 2 hours early) we had fun. Phil who works there really looked after us and he is such a friendly, helpful and funny guy. Because we were early, we had a look around the airport which is really quaint, went up the control tower to the viewing deck and had a drink in the bar there. My son really enjoyed the simulator and was impressed (which is not easy to do) with the software etc. Mark the instructor was friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable and great company. All in all I would recommend this 100%. A great day out. Well done everyone there.

I purchased the flight package on the Blue Monday/valentines package for my husbands birthday, it was such a thoughtful touch to receive a gift of a red rose, chocs and fizz. The experience was 10 out of 10 from start to end. All of the staff we met where absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Showed us around the place, the shop was really cool, loved learning about the history of the business and how the simulator came to be. Our first pilot was Jack who was absolutely ace. My husband is a mega geek with anything aviation and said it was the best present ever. He got to learn how to take off,fly, navigate to his chosen journey and land at his chosen destination airport all with the help and guidance of jack. We had an hour so had the chance to retake/perfect his landing a couple of times.We had opportunities to take loads of photos in the plane and also the cockpit..He came out of the simulator saying it was absolutely amazing and wanted to do it again. All in all im so happy I booked this as a birthday present and would 100% recommend to anyone. From the booking experience online to the goodbyes from staff it was the best experience ❤

We took 3 of our grandkids to the Deck 747. They loved it, a young man talked to the children about the 747. When it was in service, when it got scrapped. When it was bought and transported to manchester. His knowledge was fantastic, told the children all about the controls and how fast it did fly. To finish they put on capt hats for a photo shoot. The children were then given 2 quizzes to do with a sweety for anyone finishing it. There. Is a great shop in the hanger selling memorabilia of all kinds to do with airlines . Also on site you can sit and watch all the helicopters and planes coming and going. Children park and a fab food place for lunch or a beer. Nice hot chocolate and coffees too. Lot of picnic tables if you want to take some food and drink with you. Perfect on a nice day well worth a visit. One more thing you can also book for a flight simulator on the 747.
