I cannot recommend the curl clinic enough - it is amazing! I was nervous to begin with as had so many bad experiences with hairdressers. I had absolutely no need to be, the curl clinic completely understands curly hair, and Ramone put me at ease straight away. She was fabulous, talking me through each step and she is so talented. Oh Sis!!! I am shook! I dread going to the hairdressers. I always leave looking like black Little Orphan Annie and then have to search for a new salon when I start to look like Hagrid! I was booked in with the gorgeous Ramone. She sat me down and asked me about my hair. I began to panic and babble but she put me at ease and took my hair history. In other salons, I’ve been told how badly I look after my hair and how I’ve ruined it, but Ramone explained there was some damage but we could fix it. No negativity and no shaming. Ramone talked me through EVERY PROCESS she was doing and showed me in the mirror. In all honesty, I felt really comfortable in the salon but I had ZERO expectations of walking out feeling fire. Right at the end (where I did look like LOA), Kimberley, the owner, came and ‘fluffed’ my hair. Wow! These ladies are magicians! They turned my chair around like I was on a makeover show. My hair was magnificent! I was shooketh and gutted I wasn’t going out! After, I got in my mum mobile, put on some Old Skool Rap, windows down and went and bought some goat curry to round off a perfect experience. What these ladies did for my hair and my confidence is amazing. I have found my hair Sistas and can’t wait to go back. And what they charged me was a fraction of what I’ve paid in the past. Ramone is a genius and is awesome at her job. Another great thing is that the ladies all get on so well. Listening to Ramone, Kimberley and Shannon chatting, laughing and enjoying their work is inspiring. At first, I was a little disappointed as I felt like my hair wasn’t much different to how it is when I take the time to do it myself. I did go away more confident that I am doing the right things. However, I noticed the impact of the process following my next wash day. My hair now curls more easily and holds it’s curl for longer. Refresh days are so much easier! I recently went on holiday and couldn’t fit any products in my cabin luggage. I bought a herbal essences conditioner while away and this was the only product I used. I don’t think I would have achieved the results I did with this product following a normal cut. Overall, thank you for a great experience and a positive result! Just a side note: At the time of my appointment, I was pregnant at the start of my second trimester and I wouldn’t recommend the process as it is if I was any further into my pregnancy. I booked the appointment before I found out I was pregnant so I’m not sure whether there are any warnings or questions when booking about pregnancy. Maybe there are changes that can be made if you are further along.

Had a lovely experience last week. First time using the salon with very long wavy/curly hair. Managed to get a last minute cancellation for a Saturday, unheard of. Had a cut from Kim and then wash, styled by Ramone who was finishing off with another customer. Both listened to my lifestyle needs and did a brill job with my hair.
