This is a superb camping site with hardstanding and grass beautifully located in peaceful farm country side. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The shop at the entry to the site has many interesting items for sale and it’s possible to order fresh baked bread and delicious cakes. The showers are excellent and the toilets spotless! We enjoyed two peaceful nights here with only the sound of the birds! This site is now open all year and we will definitely make a return visit ASAP . Nearby activities: Bus passes site entrance every ten mins or so to Harrogate in one direction and Ripon the other way

Me and Olli had a fantastic 3 night stay over Easter weekend from Friday 7th April (long overdue review I know). Annie greeted us on arrival and showed us around the campsite. The facilities there are 10/10. Extremely clean toilets and shower blocks. I love how the shower blocks are attached to a separate spacious private changing area. There is also a shop on site which stocks everything you could need whilst camping. There are a variety of different walks you can do from site. We had a lovely walk into Ripley. We also got the bus into Harrogate for the day on the Saturday which was only £2 each! Each pitch has such a large space and you're not crammed in like some other campsites. Both Tanya and Annie were lovely and we can't wait to go back!

We booked a stay of 4 nights as we wanted to visit Harrogate Christmas Market. The Cud Life was easy to find due to the comprehensive directions we were given once we had our booking confirmation. Tanya and David 's communication was thorough and friendly from start to finish. We arrived at 2.00pm on the dot and received a warm welcome from Tanya and her lovely sidekick Annie. Annie showed us to a choice of pitches and informed us of where the facilities were. These included two unisex showers and two unisex loos both in the same nipping clean building. There was access to a hairdryer, straightening irons and a radio. The showers are spacious with plenty of room and numerous pegs to hang clothes and washbag. Also a heated towel rail! The pitches themselves are hardstanding with grass in-between. Fairly level but we needed chocks on pitch No1. Getting out and about was easy for us. Have bus pass, will travel lol. The No36 bus runs every half hour or so, either way, and stops on the main road (A61) at the bottom of the lane. You can go to Ripley and Ripon one way and Harrogate and Leeds the other. We went out every day it was so easy. The Cooking Fantastic cookshop on site, run by Tanya, has a very comprehensive range of cookware and accessories. There are fresh cakes and frozen goodies to buy as well. We had a lovely chat and a good laugh with Tanya and Annie. They are passionate about The Cud Life and just want people to be happy and enjoy their stay. We highly recommend staying here. Oh, the views and wildlife are beautiful too. Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄 ✨️ 🎶
