Great food. Staff recognised a bad beer before I'd tasted and replaced with another. Always a good sign! Great spot and lovely in the sunshine

Think I have found the worst roast in the UK. Used to be an amazing pub, since the refurbishment (and new menu) it has gone downhill. I ordered a pork roast: the meat was so dry that I couldn't chew it, the gravy tasted as it came out of a can, and even the potatoes weren't good. It's the first time (in my whole life!) I return so much food on the plate. The rest of the food for the table, wasn't spectacular, but definitely better than any of the roast

What a change and improvement! Haven't been in this pub, which should be our Local, since before lockdown when it lacked atmosphere, good staff and wine selection very limited. Through circumstances we decided to give it a try today and thoroughly enjoyed whole experience. Hope the standard remains and pleased to hear music was 'background music' and not competing with customers' conversation.

I went today with my brother and my mum. The young lady who took the last person's dishes, get it out, but she never remember to clean the table. We have to ask her to clean it. Then my brother order the food and drinks, But nothing come ad we have asked. My mum stake was in blod, and we asked medium fried, with vegetables, which never have been done, after a few times being asked for vegetables. Mr and my brother have eat a chicken burger, which should come with bacon, my brother paid for it, we have to asked where is the bacon, the young lady took the plates inside to put the missing bacon, to fried a bit more my mum's stake, and again we asked for vegetables. She said she'll bring it. After 10 minutes the plates, return the table, with the bacon, the stake still have blood, and the vegetables never come. No way we never go back there anymore. Bad service, bad food, bad staff. Too much many. They have lost customers

Booked here for a funeral wake, bar staff very nice although a little slow as l think one was a new member of staff and was training so of course was to be expected, food ,( sandwiches) were ok , but it would have been nice to have had the vegan option at the same time as the others. There is a restaurant but, we didn't use it obviously, drink prices are not cheap but l suppose that is London for you, the place was very nice and the outside facilities excellent.Would have given it 5 star review but they made a right mess over our time of hire. Beside that l would still recommend.

Food & Drinks: 4.5/5* - We tried the Camembert Sharer, which was just enough casomorphin peptides to satisfy any cheese junky. This was washed down with an aperol spritz, which was very refreshing. The mains chosen were the bavette steak and lamb and wild garlic sausages. Both dishes were cooked and presented very well and to accompany these two passion fruit, Spritz's delicious, if I may say so myself 😋. And the piece de resistance : The blackforest brownie... if you love chocolate decadence, this is for you with just enough chocolate and cherries to keep the balance enjoyable ❤️. Service: 4/5* - Superb service slight delay with drinks, but this was to be expected as there was a party of 60 upstairs. Atmosphere - 4/5* We were seated in a cosy booth, which had the perfect level of ambient background noise, but conversation across the table was still audible without raising our voices. *OVERALL* Top notch Grub in lovely pub settings can't wait to re visit during Summer 😍

Held a wake here fir about 30 attendees, midweek afternoon. We were allocated "the Lounge" area. Excellent quality buffet and sandwiches. Staff in the pub were excellent. Booking it was a bit of a chore as it seemed to be managed by an external contracting company who I assume mange all of Youngs hospitality bookings. They were rather slow and faceless. But that is a minor point, as I said the pub staff were brilliant.

This is a really lovely gastropub. The front area has character and the extension is bright and spacious. I’ve been for lunch numerous times now with my nearly-seven-year-old twins, often also with friends and their kids. The service is always good and the food is great. A real find.
