Overall I had a good experience - However… I asked to use masking tape to make the line at the bottom of my mug straight and I was told that I can’t use masking tape as it would affect the glazing, consequently the line is feathered and doesn’t look great. I watched pottery throw down and they were using masking tape! So that was very disappointing

We just did one of the beginner pottery wheel classes and I’d recommend it to everyone! I’d never done anything like this but everyone was so friendly and you’re taught in step by step stages. I’ll definitely be back to try another class soon!

We went to the craft pottery for the simpsons themed night, we liked it but feel the experience could have been better. They don’t make it clear to you that you need to pay extra for your pottery, which is absolutely fine not complaining about that, but a heads up when you book would have been nice. Nothing really on the promotional poster, only reason I found out is because I went onto the website to check the address... Some of the bits are expensive, I think £15 for a mug your going to paint on is a bit steep, but you can get some nice things for less. We arrived and everyone started to get up and get their pottery, but we were confused as nothing was really explained to us about the process, or what to do with getting the paints or how to use the stencils (which would have saved a lot of time) so we were a bit confused. The staff didn’t really seem interested. A simple introduction to say hi this is how it works collect what you like from here and then write down what paints you want would have saved confusion. Just kind of didn’t say much and assumed you knew everything about the process. The ‘goodies’ for each painter they advertised was just stickers. I felt it was a bit misleading. Overall I do think they are trying to do something different, I enjoyed the painting itself and had a nice experience, but I do wish there was a bit of enthusiasm about it. The staff kinda make or break things for me, and I felt awkward having to ask questions about the process which I feel should have been explained. I would go again in future if this was improved!

I was here for the 4th time today. Although I enjoyed the activity of painting, I found the prices have increased a lot! My friend paid something close to £20 for a mug plus the £5 for paints! The building is very old and run down, particularly the bathroom. A window was broken so it was very cold, the toilets were dirty and there was toilet paper everywhere, it just felt like a 3rd world country bathroom… disappointing and won’t go again
