Wonderful menu and impeccable service inspite unavaibility of some of the dishes from the menu such as: creme brûlé :( We had a nice evening, for a special collègue, an important event - Enjoy 💞🍾

Ate here with a friend last night. The online menu looks great, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to it. We shared a starter of calamari. Large portion which was initially promising, but it had to be sent back as was very chewy and dry. I had ribeye for main which was cooked medium rare as requested and was OK. Onion rings again massively overcooked Presentation in general was unnecessarily sloppy which was a shame. The girl who served us was very friendly and helpful.

This is not my favourite pub/restaurant as it gets very busy at times. I have even been turned away in the past, because there was no room in the Inn. Having said that, I can't fault the food that I had on my recent visit. The Lamb Duo was amazing. There was a long wait, as usual, to order food at the bar, but the service was otherwise OK. The Cowherds is part of the Vintage Inns group, so do keep your eyes peeled for any special offers.
