Unfortunately, we would be hesitant to return to The Cotswold Company Leamington or recommend them as a retailer due to our first and only experience of dealing with the company. Context as follows: - overcharged initially instore to which a refund was required. - their delivery agent refused to install the wardrobe in full leaving damage to multiple wardrobe panels and the doors were hung severely unevenly (to the point where they couldn't be opened due to catching). - the delivery agents advised that if we stood and leaned with our weight against the side of the wardrobe, the doors could be forced open (my personal highlight of the experience). - we incurred damage to our door frames and carpets due to the delivery agents lack of care. We complained instore the same day as delivery where we were advised a representative would be sent to inspect and resolve the issues; this didn't happen. We were subsequently offered a small discount to retain the damaged items, which we declined. We ultimately had to accommodate a further delivery/exchange at further time/inconvenience to ourselves. All in all, it took the best part of a month to resolve the issues. It's a shame that the delivery/installation issues have let the company down as the furniture itself is lovely. The staff in store were fantastic and helpful. Unfortunately, the issues we have endured with customer service and post delivery to resolve the issues to our satisfaction have left a bitter taste in our mouths and soured our personal experience of dealing with The Cotswold Company. I expect our experience may not be representative of most customer's experience with The Cotswold Company but unfortunately, we can only comment on our experience which in summary, is one to forget.

My wife and I needed a considerable amount of new furniture following a house move and selected The Cotswold Company after visiting the shop and seeing the items that we would buy. We ended up spending over £9,000 on a range of dining and bedroom furniture. The only part of the transaction that worked properly was when they took our money. When it came to actually receiving the items, the misery began; three triple wardrobes were delivered damaged (over £4,000 worth), our dining table was delivered without the chairs (which I had specifically stated that I didn't want to happen), the online payment request that they sent me showed the wrong value for the second delivery which meant that I couldn't make the payment and therefore couldn't book a delivery date, the problems felt never ending. They turned what should have been a joyful experience into weeks of misery. The staff at the shop and at their central office didn't seem to understand the difficulty that they were creating and showed little in the way of empathy. Each set of delivery people were not surprised about the damage, which they said was normal and each delivery team were also due to carry out collections of damaged goods from various addresses after other people had presumably gone through the same process as us. I have managed to get everything corrected, but it has taken time and money to sort out their errors and I still have yet to get our freshly painted walls redecorated after they were damaged by the wardrobe deliveries. I will never purchase anything from this company again.
