  My mum passed away unexpectedly in February. My sister and I had no idea where to start or what to do. So with the help of our auntie we found Katrina and Terry who from the off set were simply amazing. My Mum was in the process of moving back to her home town Leamington Spa from St austell and all my sister and I wanted was her back 'home' where she belonged. So after much discussion with Katrina with ideas back and forth we asked them to transport our mum back to Leamington to hold her funeral here. We had the option for them to just do the transportation and another company to hold the funeral this end but with how amazing and caring Katrina was this wasn't an option. So in March they set off through all the snow and ice and brought our mum home to be laid to rest next to her mum and dad. Katrina was on call day and night if we needed her no matter how small or big a task was she got everything sorted. The coffins they offer are truly beautiful and the prices are extremely fair. I couldn't have asked for a better send off for our Mum and I can't thank Katrina and Terry enough for making everything as easy as it could be. We will be forever grateful for everything they did.

  When our Mum died just 2 days before Christmas, we decided we wanted to use a local funeral director. After reading Katrina and Terry’s story on their website about the inception of their company The Cornish Funeral Company, we immediately knew they were exactly what we were looking for. From that initial phone call, right to the very end, both Katrina and Terry personally handled our arrangements with the utmost respect, sensitivity and dignity, perfectly balanced with the right level of practicality and organisation. They instinctively knew of our needs and their approach was incredibly refreshing - redefining standards and ensuring we absolutely gave Mum the perfect service she deserved. We were fortunate enough to largely know what we wanted for Mum’s service, but with no previous experience in funeral organisation, Katrina, Terry and Karen, the wonderful celebrant they arranged on our behalf, were the perfect team to help guide us through the whole process. Their premises in The Roseland is stunning and their service was second to none. I can’t recommend them enough and just want to say thank you again for everything they did for our family at such a difficult time. They are simply the best.

  At a naturally very sad and difficult time, they could not have been more helpful. We had a natural burial and they did everything possible to make the whole process as stress free as possible. They made a beautiful shroud for my sister, everyone was very impressed and I know my sister would love it. Absolutely lovely people, I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much for your help.

  My wife passed away unexpectedly, we hadn't even discussed any plans for funerals. I was lost, my daughter did an internet search and found The Cornish Funeral Company Ltd. They were just around the corner from where we live. I phoned and spoke to Katrina, straight away I felt at ease with her. We arranged to visit her. We arrived at their premises, which are amazing and surrounded by fields and wild flower meadows. Katrina and Terry welcomed us, they showed us around, they have worked so hard to make their premises warm and comfortable. Katrina talked us through the services they offer and I knew straight away this would be what my wife would have wanted for her funeral. They were never pushy and never tried to talk us into something we didn't want. After we finished our chat we were shown round their premises, as we left we thanked them both and Terry said it was their privilege to be able to look after my wife. I genuinely believe they both feel that way and I knew we had made the right decision to use them, they made a very emotional and difficult time a lot easier. I will always recommend Katrina and Terry, in fact I have told my family to use them for my funeral. Thank you both for your excellent service

  We cannot speak highly enough of the service that we received from Katrina and Terry when Dad sadly passed away. He died on a Sunday evening and because he was in a shared room at a Nursing Home with my mother, who has profound dementia, we needed him to be collected promptly which was quickly organised during a telephone conversation with Katrina. From the moment that Terry arrived at Eshcol, he treated Dad with the utmost care, consideration, respect and dignity and we knew that once Dad had arrived safely at Tresillian, he was in safe hands in the most beautiful and peaceful location that you could wish for. Throughout the period of time leading up to Dad's funeral, Katrina & Terry were very supportive of our family and helped us to arrange a bespoke funeral service that Dad would have loved, even to the point of playing Frank Sinatra in the car on the way to Penmount Crematorium! We selected a seagrass casket which was really beautiful and fitted the sea-themed funeral service perfectly. Thankfully, Katrina organised a Webcast stream of the service for us as so many family members and friends were unable to attend the funeral as they were mainly Midlands-based and we were hugely grateful for this facility. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Cornish Funeral Company and can't praise Katrina & Terry enough for the wonderful service that our family received. Angela Foster & Family

  My father had palliative care at home which was his wish, I unfortunately had to organise an undertaker etc before his actual death which was very hard. A friend had used this company so referred me. I rang and spoke with Katrina who was amazing, I explained the situation and she couldn’t have been kinder. Katrina and Terry were outstanding when my father passed, they spoke to him and treated him with so much care and respect. The knowledge that my father was going to a beautiful rural location to await his funeral was a godsend to me. The seagrass coffin with heart messages was amazing and the entire organisation was outstanding. I know without any doubt that my father would have totally approved and although it was a sad day, thanks to Katrina and Terry is was also an amazing day

  This funeral company is unique. Their whole ethos and approach is so considerate and respectful to both the precious loved one who has passed, and the grieving family. Katrina and Terry set out to make the process as smooth as possible, and absolutely nothing is too much trouble and their attention to every small detail creates a very personal send off. My mom Daphne would have loved her funeral last Wednesday. Her Somerset Willow coffin was so beautiful, exactly what she would have liked. She wore a special outfit and even had her favourite music playing on her way to Penmount! Katrina and Terry are a very caring couple, who we very highly recommend, without hesitation. You will come away afterwards knowing that you’ve done the very best you could, with their help, for your loved one. I really feel that about my mom’s funeral. 🧡
