Adelaide was recommended to us by our vet as our young collie was anxious with other dogs and had become increasingly reactive. Over the 10 week course of weekly training sessions I learnt a great deal about Nalas body language and how to work on improving her feelings & reactions towards other dogs. She has improved a great deal to the extent we have been able to compete at outdoor agility shows without the worry of other dogs around us. We still have a way to go but feel I am now equipped with the correct 'tools' to hopefully continue improving. Adelaide is the loveliest person who genuinely cares about helping people help their dogs. I'm just sorry we may not see her again - for the best reasons of course!

Have just finished a 5 week course with our German Shepherd "Millie". Absolutely brilliant! Think Adelaide had more trouble with the owners than the dog 🤣. I would definitely recommend her services 100%

We have just finished a five week course with our 6 month old Labrador/ Cocker Spaniel puppy Ivy. Adelaide is absolutely fantastic. Her knowledge and understanding of what makes your dog tick is outstanding. She makes the whole experience enjoyable and we have learned so much from her training. We will now do our homework! We cannot recommend her enough.

After years and many different professional opinions, of having a very anxious dog and not being able to understand why, Adelaide managed to identify why and supported us with rectifying it very quickly into our sessions! Adelaide was always very understanding, caring and supportive both during and since our training course. Adelaide has changed both ours and our dogs quality of life, creating a much calmer, more peaceful and happy environment for us all through her extensive knowledge and experience!

My second pointer cross rescue from Cyprus at first seemed as if recall was no problem but once she'd experienced the delights of the open countryside (rabbits++) her recall rapidly deteriorated. Adelaide had helped me enormously with my first pointer cross rescue and he is now loving countryside walks off the lead so I enlisted Adelaide's help again. Once again Adelaide was able to help enormously. She was able to tune in to this dog's hunting behaviour and show me how to utilise that to enable me to gain Pepper's attention and recall her. The improvement is amazing. After five sessions she is now running free with a long lead trailing and I'm confident that I'll soon be able to trust her without the long lead. She is a much happier, more engaged dog on walks now.

We came to Adelaide as overwhelmed first time dog owners looking for some guidance and training advice for our new puppy. We were a little apprehensive about the Zoom format, but it worked really well! Over the course of the sessions, in the VIP puppy package, everything was tailored to our goals with Gizmo. We can’t believe where we are now with Gizmo. Among other things, we’re able to take him to the pub with us and get him to settle in large groups of people. Since we’ve been doing the sessions we’ve had so many compliments from other people on how well behaved Gizmo is. We couldn’t recommend Adelaide enough, we now have the tools and knowledge to further Gizmos training! The fact we’ve been able to achieve this over Zoom as well is pretty amazing. 10/10 would recommend🙂 thank you Adelaide!!

Went for help with aggression issues and learning how to adapt to having a tri-paw dog. Excellent lessons, plenty of homework and we now have a dog whom we have confidence in, we love, and who is an essential part of our family. We know our dogs quality of life has improved tremendously and we are confident that we now have the skills to care for her properly going forward. Money well spent and would certainly highly recommend.

In July we took on a 12 month old mixed breed from Macedonia; he had been abandoned as a very young puppy and had since lived in a very rough and ready rescue shelter before being mercifully brought over to the UK by one of our wonderful animal rescue charities. Upon his arrival, the reality hit us hard in the face: he had had absolutely no training, and clearly found everything a massive new challenge. He was VERY reactive to everything - people, every single dog, cars, bikes, noise and refused to go through doors or up stairs. This made basic things like walks an awful, nerve-wracking challenge, especially as we couldn't determine whether his intense reactivity was based on fear, frustratiion or just outright aggression. So in desperation, we looked for a reputable, proven trainer/behaviourist, came across The Confident K9 and took up the 10 week course. Adelaide immediately established a rapport with "Alfie" and, as the course progressed we learned so much - lead techniques and control, heel work, training exercises to improve obedience and engagement and little signs or signals to look out for, As time progressed. Adelaide also gave actual demonstrations, taking Alfie in to situations that we had been too wary to go, and we were able to learn that his reactivity was based on frustration, which was such a relief to know! But the most important part of the training was that Adelaide gave US, the owners, the confidence we had been lacking and we found that our new-found confidence transfers through to Alfie, making him a much calmer and management dog - we now have no fears about letting him meet other dogs, which is dimething he absolutely loves! We know there is a long way to go yet and lot of work still to do but we now know for certain that we are on the right path and Alfie is improving all time! Thank you Adelaide for the sessions plus being available all the time for help and advice. Thoroughly recommended!
