We have a schedule for tasks such as weeding, watering, and pruning to ensure that the garden is well-taken care of. We also have a designated garden coordinator who oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the garden.

Are there any restrictions on what can be grown in the garden?

We do not have any restrictions on what our members can grow in the community garden. We encourage our members to plant a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The Community Garden is a beautiful, welcoming and safe environment that has gradually supported me to make lasting changes to my life. This has impacted my working and social life. I have learnt new skills and developed a social network with lots of amazing people. The garden has a way of easing anxiety and there is always an opportunity to get stuck into a task. I have also received training in subjects such as first aid and safeguarding. I have also enjoyed many delicious and nutritious meals 😋

This is such an amazing place with beautiful wildlife areas, two polytunnels, a veg box scheme, a pond, an education centre. My brother volunteers here every week and we enjoy wonderful family days out planting, pond dipping, making pizza and thriving outdoors. Such an incredible important community space 💕
