Classic pub with a nice atmosphere, lovely location and decent beer selection. Prices let the place down slightly.

Rooms outdated but comfortable not all amenities filled up shower hanging off the wall and floor boards creaking every step , Food standard pub grub bit pricey for what it is and waited an hour for mains (ended up taking our starter plate to the bar and had to ask for our main) also no check backs to see how good was until the end of the mains staff looked disinterested and tired no motivation. I didn't get her name but credit to the lady who checked us in as she was professional and polite but believe her shift was due to finish shortly, not complaining about anyone just giving some constructive criticism we all have bad days were only human and I also understand there were several events going on in the area so was very busy
