I lived here for a year. Quite possibly the worst experience I have had renting anywhere. Staff were very unhelpful and felt as if they were doing you a favour for letting you live there. Raised multiple concerns about people taking the gym equipment up to their room to management amongst other issues such as noise complaints - but to no avail despite chasing multiple times. My responses were not even acknowledged. In the end, I sold my tenancy agreement to someone else and made my escape. Feel sorry for the poor sod who took it over from me. Best thing about this place was leaving it. Could not un recommend this place enough. No wonder the company is in financial difficulty - CEO has a chip on his shoulder.

We stayed for 1 night first weekend in May 2023. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good and the room was tidy and stylish. However, be careful of the shelving unit next to the bed - this is not a very good design. We had an accident - when sitting up from plugging in his phone my boyfriend cracked his head open on the corner of the shelf. The design needs to be looked into or at least have protective pads on the corners to avoid another accident like this. The staff were helpful and gave us the first aid kit and provided the necessary numbers and an accident report was filled out, but it wasn't a great end to what was a fun night away. The pool was lovely and the bar staff were friendly too - though the music was extremely loud. The view from the 20th floor was amazing and the DLR was a 2 minute walk away, so we cannot fault the location.

The Collective deserves the 1 star rating as it meets the disappointment that this place has proven to be. Long stay review: Location- First of all, this isn’t exactly Canary Wharf as the name suggests, It's Isle of Dogs. Facilities- They sell their pool, sauna, steam, bar, golf simulator, gym and other facilities as a plus but let me tell you the pool is dirty most times and used by numerous hotel stay individuals making it extremely full, sauna never worked earlier and even now it's just functional for the sake of it, The bar serves overpriced beer and wine and isn’t special at all, Golf simulator isn’t functional most times either and I’m a regular at the gym and it is always missing most equipments, lifts don’t work sometimes either. So please don’t think that any facilities marketed justify the high rent in fact, the contrary. Price/ Member fee/ Rent: The rooms do not justify the rent range here between 1400-3000 pm and you must be wondering how come such a huge range and that’s because of price discrimination depending upon whom, when and how you secure your contract and not because of different categories as much and when I moved in, I found out I was being charged way more than most members for the same room and facilities and I can prove that. If you were to calculate the rent by studio flat size then you’d find that it is more than avg London and Canary Wharf rents even when it is not exactly in Canary Wharf. There are building around with bigger spaces charging similar rents w same facilities. Once they secure a contract expect no help whatsoever and if you’re an international pls don’t consider coming here especially if you’re they just want your money and then wouldn’t treat you respectfully and be extremely condescending. Unusual Incidents: There have been multiple severe incidents that I don't want to comment upon but would advise anyone moving in to enquire about. Security: There is insufficient security given the system they follow is 50-50 hotel-long stay model. So they accept hotel booking but don’t have the appropriate resources to act like one. Social: This place sells a lot on ‘Co-Living’ and ‘social’ but there is no screening process to allocate rooms and members complain about the quality of events deteriorating to a very low level as everything is monitored and controlled. I don't think The management does enough to make it social space but in fact does the opposite. Customer service and team: Reception staff is very helpful and nice and so is bar staff 5/5 and they are super nice but the senior or mid level management are condescending, irresponsible and unresponsive and act like they really don't care about a member's issues and opinions. Rights: You have no tenancy rights whatsoever and you are giving up a lot of rights you've as a tenant in the UK when you take up a contract here, so please consider that as well. P.S. - If I got this place below £1300 per month then by all means it would've been a bargain in this market but anything above that is not a very wise decision that I regret. I know a lot of people trying to get rid of their contracts within weeks of moving in even when they have managed to secure contracts within £1600. For your context, prices started at £900 per month in 2019-2020 so pls make an informed decision. Short- Stay review: I have lived here as a short stay too for a few days and have interacted with a lot of them who seems to be of an opinion that it is extremely overpriced and misleading marketing practices have been used to get them to book their holidays here and actually choosing this has impacted their breaks to be less fun than they wanted it to be- so not at all value for money.

This hotel is Awful. Do not go here please. Room is tiny, shower is even tinier. A bit overweight person will not fit in those showers. Price is just ridiculous for such a place. I signed 1 year contract due to urgency to move. I also had to leave the country urgently 3 months early before contract end with 2 weeks notice. I kept talking with desk staff and emailing. I hoped they will compromise on deposit, the desk staff said that too. However I was not getting any response from them for 2 weeks and was just chasing for reply. Eventually after I left and they didn't receive my payment for the month they responded and said deposit is not refundable. They can find a replacement very quick ! It's a hotel but no they just need to be gready. Have 1 star you greedy management.

Went there for a birthday treat, and invited 3 friends over just to blow my birthday cake with me, As the collective is also apartments i didnt think there was an issue with people coming over. The manager came to knock on my room door ,she was extremely rude demanding that my visitors need to leave in ten minutes, the only noise that was made is when they were singing happy birthday to me but according to her she was getting complaints coming from my room lol. As a manager i was absolutely mortified that she spoke to me this way, sorry to say but it was clear she had a racism problem, you could tell by her energy. awful customer service and that manager needs the sack!
