Wow, thank you The Coconut Tree! We had such a fantastic meal, blown away by the quality and tastiness of the food we had and would highly recommend trying! The restaurant has an informal fun vibe, lovely staff (thanks Libby) and some great cocktails to go along with your meal. Highlights for us were the Chicken curry on the bone the black pork, the hot butter calamari, the dhal, pickled aubergine and the drunken Sri Lankan. Yes we were full afterwards 😋

Amazing atmosphere and service. Was let down a bit with the cocktails as there wasn't enuf liquor in them and was too sweet. Food was good but there definitely can be some more improvement. Since we are veg and we had only starters we felt there could be some more spice added(or could be asked to the customers if needed) also the spices felt a bit burnt while preparing the potatoes. It was good but not great.

Received an order from here today on 7th May. The food was delivered promptly and earlier than expected. I can now see why. The Bone in Chicken dish was horrendous, the dish comprised of two chicken drumsticks swimming in an oily gravy. The dish was cold like they had just taken it straight out of the fridge and it was also dark grey in colour. Did not look fresh more stale looking. I also ordered basmati rice which was dry and again not fresh tasting or looking. The goat curry was also ordered; this was extremely spicy but fine for myself. But that was it, it had no flavour just spice. The goat was also a little dry and the temperature was luke warm. Again this just indicated to me that the food was not fresh and simply reheated. The only compliment I can give is for the portion sizes. These were large and adequate. I was planning to go to the restaurant in July with a group of 15 ladies, however after today’s experience I shall pass.
