First taste of Sri Lankan food I’ve had since being in Sri Lanka and it did not disappoint! All the dishes were super flavourful, shout out to the coconut Sambal- I’ve been desperate to have some again, tried and failed to make anything close so was a real treat. We were also in a rush before a long drive and a side dish was delayed; when we asked to cancel it the staff took it off the bill and gave it to us in a takeaway box so we could eat it on the way which was a real touch.

I was treated to this place by a friend, on a Friday shortly after 6PM and this place was already PACKED, nice mix of people from all sorts of backgrounds and the food smells grabbed you by the nose from way across the road from it. To say that I was impressed by the service, knowledge of the menu, speed and overall experience made by both front house and chefs in there is a huge understatement. I have been a chef myself for long years and it takes decent quality to impress me, but this place really did. Huge shout out to Nina, who was our main waiter that evening, but I must say that if we seemed like we needed anything there was definitely someone else ready to jump at the chance to make sure we are served, at the first chance they had. The black pork dish was really the best out of the lot, that takes some beating, but this isn't to say that the other dishes were not impressive, tasty, plenty of it to share when you have like 6 different mini dishes on the table that's not counting the rice dishes, and each as different from each other as they can be. My friend is Gluten intolerant so again, the promptness that we were informed of the dishes he can and cannot have was amazing, I just hope this place will keep the format as it is, because they are definitely doing something right, and usually, a change of hands, or an overzealous chef, can ruin a finely tuned balance in a snap, so don't try to mend things that aren't broken, you have the right recipe, keep it so! Thank you for a memorable dinner.

Ordered our food and was advised to have some rice or flat bread with the curry's we ordered. The curry's came but the flat bread didn't even after the return visit and a reorder with the waitress the flat breads weren't anywhere to be seen. By this time our curry's were stone cold and we still never caught sight of the bread. We were asked to pay half the bill after hardly touching the good which I thought was disgusting. Very upset. Left feeling hungry and robbed. Such a shame.
