Worst Sri Lankan food I’ve ever had in my life! And I am a Sri Lankan! Not just food but the service was horrible too! To start with, we politely asked them to get us some drinks as soon as possible because we were feeling dehydrated and they took 20-30 mins just to bring drink, which came after the food even though we ordered drink before we ordered food and the drink glass was just filled with ice and less drinks! Just horrible! The food was BAD! I don’t know how could someone get hoppers bad! Very over priced hoppers! Parota, had one bite and my teeth were hurting! Towards the end we asked, if we could just get some normal simple drinks or sparkling water and she said no they don’t do normal drinks and could give us tonic water, so we took tonic water and then when the bill came out, there was diet coke extra added to the tonic water she gave and everything else we ordered. I mean they said they don’t have any drinks and it comes out in the bill🤣🤣 oh and the meat tasted really old and the lamb in the cutlet was not cooked properly and made me sick!! this place is just a big no no from me

This is a little gem that is hidden away in one of the roads off Broad Street so it would be very easy to miss. I had never tried Sri Lankan food before so we chose a few options that we could share and tried some of the things recommended by the waiter. I have to say the food was amazing, so tasty and flavoursome. I loved it. I will definitely be coming back 😄

First of all the most important bit, the food was utterly fantastic. Perhaps the best Sri Lankan food I've eaten outside of Sri Lanka. Secondly the service, which was friendly and attentive, although they did hover around quite a bit while we were trying to eat but this is just because it's quite a small place. Sadly the atmosphere wasn't the best though. They were playing reggae, dancehall and dub really loudly all the way through our sitting. We struggled to hear each other talking and also; why this music??? It caters to a very specific taste and has zero relevance to the Sri Lankan experience. Finally the soft drink selection was really poor, the place seemed very geared towards alcohol drinkers. I'd definitely get takeaway in the future but probably wouldn't eat in.
