FAQ

What types of agricultural products do you specialize in?

We specialize in a wide variety of agricultural products, including fruits, vegetables, grains, and livestock. Our members produce everything from apples and strawberries to wheat and corn, as well as beef, pork, and poultry.

Do you offer financial and technical assistance to members of the cooperative?

Yes, we offer both financial and technical assistance to our members. We provide loans and grants to help with the costs of production and equipment, as well as technical support and training to improve farming practices and increase yields.

How do you ensure fair pricing for both producers and consumers?

We use a transparent pricing system that takes into account the costs of production, as well as market demand and competition. Prices are set democratically by our members, and we work to ensure that both producers and consumers receive fair prices for their products.

What measures do you take to promote sustainable agriculture practices?

We promote sustainable agriculture practices in a number of ways, including providing training and technical support to our members on topics such as soil health, crop rotation, and integrated pest management. We also encourage the use of sustainable farming methods, such as organic farming and agroforestry, and work to reduce our environmental impact through initiatives such as renewable energy and waste reduction.

How do you involve members in decision-making processes within the cooperative?

We involve our members in decision-making processes through a democratic system of governance. Members have a voice and a vote in decisions that affect the cooperative, and we hold regular meetings and consultations to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate and provide input. We also have a board of directors that is elected by the members to oversee the day-to-day operations of the cooperative.

The staff are rude and unhelpful. I always feel that serving customers is an irritation.

Had great service from the lady behind the till this afternoon. The wrap I selected was not on the meal deal, she noticed this and informed me of this before giving me the total (which was double the meal deal price), and asked me if I wanted to swap it for something else, which I did. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness.

Great service from the lad behind the till! It was a very well kept, nice and clean shop! Great deals too. 4 burgers and 4 Stella unfiltered beers for £4! Absolute bargain! And then the freezers with homemade ready meals was a breath of fresh air compared to your regular ready meals. All sorts from seafood dishes to regular British dishes to Indian cuisine, Chinese and then the rest. Meals for 1, 2 and 4. Those freezers alone are worth the visit! I highly recommend!

The shop itself is fine, always stocked. Just wonder why the staff never say Hi …. They seem to need some customer service training in greeting people (even when they aren’t regulars)
