The staff in this store go out of there way to look after every one and have stayed open through out this pandemic. I think they all deserve a medal and a big thank you from every one in the village.

This store has a good variety of products to choose from, however my main criticism is the sheer overwhelming stock levels within the shop. The shelves are brimming with stock, every inch of shop floor space is crammed with stuff! Worst of all, as you are leaving the tills, there are just stacks and stacks of unnecessary offers and promotional stands. Staff are a bit hit and miss on the friendliness front too.

I worked there on a probation period and I was not happy with how the store was ran. The shelves were always dirty and only once was I given the necessary equipment to clean them whilst putting stock out also new stock was put straight out without any care or pricing. The hygiene was not adequate. Some of the management were untrained and I swear a few CSA's could do a better job. The till service is awful and I could never get assistance when calling for it I had to ring the buzzer multiple times. Also unreliable when it comes to ordering stock because of over stocked warehouse and storage facilities. No proper training was even given it was based on something called e-learning which I could never get to do because there was only one PC and even that had problems to sign into. The tills were awful they doubled scanned regularly and most of the reduction barcodes didn't even work so I was always forced to type the long number which frustrated customers also loads of products would not even scan to the price they were marked on the shop floor and some wouldn't even scan at all because it wouldn't recognise it as being know in the store. I wouldn't recommend applying there because of the way you are treated and trained. I also would recommend not shopping there either because of the price difference to other stores in the area. Forgot to mention about the health and safety of the shop floor bread and other stock mostly always blocked the fire exit near the post office and stock would be left in the middle of aisles unworked because the lack of till staff.

Rude staff moaning about there managers to customers, staff have a lack of hygiene, nothing on the shelves, slow service with a woman behind the till moaning saying it's not her fault rather than calling some one over to help. Staff blocking Isles with trolleys that arnt even being worked, no room to get through. Won't be visiting the store again.
