The last time we visited the Birmingham Branch it was closed, the notice on the door said ‘Faulty doors’. We then had to travel to Wolverhampton. Today tried to phone Birmingham to see if they are open tomorrow and it is impossible to get an answer on the phone. We only want to know it they are open! Now it won’t submit.

After over a decade I've given up on the co-op; wonderful ethical commitment but terrible service - closed my branch, app continually breaking down, poor customer service...

Probably a nice place, but impossible to find in that part of B’ham (even though I know the area). They should never have closed down our local Coop bank in Solihull.

I really like the Cooperative Bank because if it's ethical investment policy. And they only send paper bank statements if there is activity on the account. However, if you are on benefits like me, they will give printouts or screenshots for the ones you need to access your income.

My husband passed away recently. He banked the Coop. He opened his accounts at Solihull. When that closed he was going to transfer to Nat West (at least they have local branches)'but never got around to it. I've just been on the phone 50 minutes and have given up, I'll try going into the Birmingham branch.

Absolute joke. No branches left locally so drove an hour as on the phone they were useless and could not help. The Birmingham branch could not sort it there and then and made an appointment to call back two weeks later. Waited all day on Monday, gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they may be busy and give them a few extra days but still no call. I hope they close all the branches and all the staff loose their jobs as it’s an embarrassment of a bank tbh I’ve not met one helpful member of staff.
