My group of 4 went on this tour and absolutely loved it. Our ages ranged from 16-72 and it was everyone’s favorite part of our London trip. The guide was funny and interesting; he engaged everyone with his wit, knowledge and horrifying facts. The time went by very quickly and I was sad when it ended. If you’re looking for a tour that’s fun, dark, and independently owned THIS TOUR IS FOR YOU! You won’t regret booking. We learned so much about how the common folk of London lived. 10 out of 10, would do it again!

We travelled from Australia last month and this was easily one of the highlights of our trip to the UK and Europe! Southwark alone is filled with so much history which we otherwise wouldn't have learnt about had we not booked this tour. Amongst all the palaces, galleries churches and museums we visited during our trip, this tour painted a picture of what life would have been like for the not so well-off. A strong stomach is required! Fantastic story-telling skills which made for an enjoyable evening even in the freezing cold. Highly recommend and I'm excited to hear about plans of a womens' history tour - would absolutely do that next time we're in London!

Fantastic tour run by very enthusiastic people. The guides had great energy and were absolutely delight to listen to. The way they articulated different stories about different artifacts about medieval london and some of its gruesome history were mindblowing! Highly recommend!

My mother and I took the tour during our visit from the U.S. and was wonderful! It's unusual to find a tour that talks about the little known or unpopular aspects of history. The fact that this was a horrible history tour of Southwark and was still fun and very enjoyable is a mark of its quality and the guide. I didn't even mind the cold and rain - and I hate being out in both! And I loved the presentation of the mint tea we were offered. It was very unique! I'll certainly never look at pig farming the same again. The tour owner, who was our guide that night, even said he's about to launch a new tour about womens' history. I have no doubt it will be just as interesting, fun and horrible. I'll definitely book another tour whenever I make it back to London.

My wife and I took the tour on the spur of a moment and we are so glad we did!!! Even the most avid history buff can learn a thing or two from this tour. Cary does a brilliant job of leading you through the queasy history of London but still manages to keep it fun and humorous. Get there early to enjoy the vibe of the George Inn which happens to bookend this tour. Thank you Cloak and Dagger. Next time we're back in London we will definitely drop by again!!!!
