Had a wonderful couple of days climbing in Pembrokeshire, with a mixed ability group but our guide Stu made it exciting and enjoyable for everyone. Planning and meeting instructions were very clear, and we went to some great rockfaces with no-one else around. As the more experienced in our group, I was super happy with all his safety briefings and precautions. Highly recommended.

We’ve just done 4 days up in Scotland with stu. Aside from the unreal places he took us to and the adventure we had all week, we have come away feeling confident and inspired to get out on our own winter climbing adventures. Stu is a super nice guy too and is always right by your side to guide you through every situation whilst your learning.

Just returned from snowy Fort William, After a fantastic 4 days Winter Mountaineering with Stu (The Climbing Company). I can honestly say I’ve had the best experience. The first few days were hugely challenging with bad weather, but Stu found us areas that were well sheltered and in great condition for me to learn more about Winter Skills and Navigation. The four days were well paced and gave me more than enough challenge whilst making the experience hugely enjoyable, and more importantly I was involved in making all those decisions. I can’t thank him enough for building on the knowledge I already had, and making me feel a million times more confident about stepping out alone in proper winter conditions. An added bonus was a nice compliment of Munro’s we ticked off across the week, and the knowledge I now have of some of my favourite areas in Scotland when it comes to avalanche risk and route selection. Huge thank you, for an enjoyable few days

We had the pleasure of spending a beautiful day with Stu on the Pembrokeshire coast. Learning the ropes, nuts and knots we'd need for our own climbing adventures. Myself and my 13 year old son have spent many hours bouldering indoors, but needed help with the step up and outside. Stu covered the correct placement of gear, what gear goes where, correct belay technique and belayer positioning and ultimately how to reduce the risks. But most importantly he coached rather than taught, so we made decisions under his guidance. I highly recommend it!

When my dad said, "I have something on my bucket list, but I'll never be able to do it". A quick 'Cliff Camping Wales' Google and we found 'The Climbing Company'. We couldn't have found a better place to do a day's climbing and a night cliff camping. The two of us had VERY limited experience of climbing and with a short tutorial to show us the key techniques, we were climbing. The night cliff camping was an incredible experience, in a beautiful location. It was easy to book and Stu was helpful with answering any questions we had. He was a great teacher with a LOT of experience, who took the time to talk us through everything. We felt safe and like he couldn't do enough to help us. If you're looking for a great experience regardless of your skill, 'The Climbing Company' is definitely the company to book with!

Great day out with my husband and 2 sons - climbing and coasteering near St Davids with Stu. I can only echo what other reviewers have said - Stu is a great teacher - we all learnt such a lot without feeling like we were being taught - Stu was calm and created an air of quiet confidence that allowed each of us to achieve our own 'best day out'.
