I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when going along to see the bikes but Colin and City Cycles was brilliant. Booking a slot online was really easy and Colin followed up with an email. I bought two bikes yesterday from Colin - one for myself and one for my daughter. The purchasing experience was incredibly helpful and personalised and I can not recommend him enough. You may pay slightly more for a second hand bike but I was reassured that they were serviced and good quality. Plus I don’t have to drive all over Reading trying different bikes out as there is a large selection there. He is knowledgable and I spent close to an hour with him trying different bikes and came away with a totally unexpected bike. Something I probably wouldn’t have done if I was in a shop and left to my own devices. There is also a good space to try out the bikes - I think I tested 6 or 7. Colin helped me get the bikes in the car too. I will be recommending you to everyone.

I recently bought a bike from here. The service was excellent, I described what I was looking for and what I'd be using it for ( a commuter bike) and they came back with a perfect recommendation. Whilst the bike was second hand, it has been fully serviced so it works like new. They gave great advice about what else to get and cycling around reading too.
