Great hospital, lovely staff. Plenty of car park spaces. But you do have to pay, so please make sure cars covered for your stay.

Mr Kordas got me running again within 6 months of seeing him. Although he was brilliant through the whole process Karen was a superstar!! Nothing was too much trouble for her, she was able to accommodate appointments and call backs around my work schedule. 10/10 I'd never look anywhere else for any sort of treatment! DT

Mr Kordas promised that he would get me back on my bike within a few months of a total hip replacement operation, so i was really pleased to feel strong enough to get back on my bike after only 5 weeks post operation and even cycle up a Col in the French Alps. I have to say that I am really impressed by the the whole set up at the Cherwell Hospital. As an architect I appreciate precision, and I am in awe of what a surgeon can achieve in terms of getting equal leg lengths absolutely right, under theatre conditions, after my body had been asymmetrical for so many years! I wish i had had the operation years ago. Please extend my thanks to the entire team at the Cherwell Hospital from nurses to Anaesthetists to Physiotherapists who were all caring and extremely professional throughout the process. You people are truly amazing. Moreover thank you for giving me a pain free life back.

I have to give a balanced honest account of my experience as that’s what it’s all about. The hospital itself is impeccably clean, friendly and smiley reception staff couldn’t of greeted me in a better way on arrival. My Amazing surgeon Mr Anand who I’ve been under the care of for over 18 months now I couldn’t of asked for anyone more competent or highly skilled - one of the best orthopedics surgeons I’ve ever had the distinct pleasure to be cared for he genuinely cares for his patients and has always gone above and beyond to take the best care of me, the specialist anaesthetist bought in to take care of me in theatre - gift of a man also, so kind friendly and so good at what he does, the Hca’s, nurses took absolutely amazing care of me throughout, they really couldnt of been nicer to me or gone more out of their way to keep me comfortable during my stay. One major Downside that almost over shadowed my entire experience - wrong doses of medication written on my drug chart and things missed off which resulted in me then agreeing with the ward manager for me to begin self administering my own, very inappropriate situation with senior house officer who was rude and had a bad attitude towards me for no reason ( huffing and puffing at me, shrugging his shoulders like a petulant 5 year old in a strop and tightened the tourniquet so tight round my arm as he was behaving inappropriately he’s actually marked my skin and left me in flood of tears minutes before being taken up to the theatre for my procedure leaving me completely inconsolable and needing to be administered medications in the anaesthetic room to calm me down before I could even be put to sleep which almost resulted in my leaving the hospital cancelling my surgery after waiting over a year - not what you want or need right before a big operation. The few negatives very much let down the good reputation of this hospital and would definitely leave me to not recommend to others, especially given the sho is based at the hospital 247 and after strictly assured that he would be kept away from me and not involved in my care before my operation or during my stay to then found out when my Surgeon left for the evening said sho was the only ward dr so was in charge of my care - even more distressing after the encounter I had with him which made me feel unsafe so something to bear in mind for people - I was actually going to self discharge to get away from him but decided to stay as I had a full arm nerve block so couldn’t feel my arm and I’d had issues waking up after the anaesthetic so needed oxygen so I wasn’t prepared to put my life at risk having to leave prematurely because I felt unsafe because of said drs unnecessary behaviour

Superb service and treatment every time I have had to use the Cherwell hospital including two operations. All the staff are great, particularly Karen, Patient Coordinator, for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Hi, looking for a private operation and filled in the 'contact' information and pressed submit over the weekend with no acknowledgment feedback whatsoever today. Even to say we are busy but will come back to you would have been exceptable. With that said, not to be defeatist I phoned hoping to make contact and after 'press this number' numerous times a message came on 'please leave a message and one of our advisors will phone you back'. Still no contact whatsoever. Sloppy communication at best, obviously I'm very unhappy. Since putting the above post on I have had a quick response from Paul Byrne the hospital Director who has furnished me with the details I needed. I have gone from unhappy to happy.

An incredible experience from arrival to departure. 5 star all the way. Booked in for day procedure and was personally taken to my beautiful private room. The nursing staff were attentive and on hand all the time and the anaethitist and surgeon were superb. Treated like a celebrity. I could not recommend this Hospital and all who work there more. Thank you.
