A lovely, homely, quirky place which soon becomes 'home from home'. A comfortable house with the added bonus of a 3rd floor full of things to play with or read, especially on a wet day. My grandchildren loved the loft, the house, and the well equipped garden. You'll soon want to come back!

Loved our stay. Quiet , rural location but still able to get to York city centre easily. Great base for exploring Yorkshire. Plenty to see and do in easy reach and nice to have a a comfortable cottage to return to. We loved the quirky decorations too- very well thought out

The cottage is lovely and has everything needed. Very spacious and the kids loved the games room. The owners are very helpful and polite. The cottage is in a great place, we used the park and rides to get to the centre of york about 15 - 20 mins away. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely lovely cottage in a really pretty village. Not too far from the main road to either Hull or York. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hosts were very welcoming and right next door if needed. Everything was perfect though so we didn’t need to call on them.

Everything about The Cherries was perfect. The location, facilities and the hosts couldn't have been any better. We had 2 dogs with us and they enjoyed their stay and loved their freedom as the garden was safely enclosed. The cottage was spacious with all needed facilities and full of quirky additions.

A wonderful weekend in a beautiful cottage! The Cherries was perfect for our family of 5 and dog, Brüno. A well equipped cottage with everything you need for a ‘home away from home.’ The comfy beds, great shower and quirky, cosy surroundings were ideal after a busy day exploring Castle Howard and York. The pretty, fully enclosed garden was an added bonus to sit in with a cuppa and unwind. We would highly recommend staying at The Cherries and thank you for a great stay! Sue, Jonathan& Boys.

A lovely and comfortable place to stay. Fully equipped, and actually had more than you usually find based on the array of games in the games room and croquet set, rackets etc in the garden shed. A beautiful garden to sit in and for my 5 year old to play in. Very spacious house. Also an easy drive to York Park and ride and various attractions nearby.

We had a great time staying at Cherry Garth, a lovely warm decorated house run by two really nice people. Good fun for the children as well as there is a nice big garden and play area in the loft. If you are planning on staying in the area then I would surely recommend Cherry Garth cottage.
