Absolutely fantastic little shop. I have attended a number of the cheese and wine tasting events too and each time the experience excels. Vincent is very knowledgeable and is great at recommending cheeses to your own preference and taste. Always welcomed with a friendly face and the shop itself is wonderful. Highly recommend a visit whether it’s for a bite to eat, cheese and wine tasting or just to purchase some delicious cheese.

Went in for the first time today. The beautiful smell of cheese hits you as you walk through the door. Had a drink and the cheese board. The cheeses selected by the staff were great. Also the first goats cheese that my wife enjoyed. I had to purchase a couple of them to go! Really enjoyed the cheese, the drinks and the service. Another great independent shop that I will happily return to.

We approached the Cheese Yard (after a simple Google search) for a cheese tower for our wedding day and we couldn't have had a better experience. We were invited into the shop for a tasting and I have to say we were both pleasantly surprised at how many cheeses we got to taste and how much time and effort Vincent took to helping us find the right cheeses. He talked us through everything and advised us on what went well with what and how much we might need based on our number of guests. We also talked through accompaniments such as chutneys and crackers. We left the tasting feeling quite full! Vincent was helpful and responsive on email and the process of payment and delivery on the day was unremarkable, in that it was seamless. Of course the cheeses themselves were delicious! Highly recommend the Cheese Yard.

Not even one star! I have a lactose intolerance and would not even serve me one egg as “kitchen too small”! VERY POOR not catering to people with allergies! Manager is RUDE!

If there was an option for a 0 star I would choose that. We kindly asked if my sister could have a poached egg on toast as she is lactose intolerant. The owner of the shop shouted at us in-front of the whole store and told us to leave, slamming the bill on the table. This attitude to allergies/intolerances is completely unacceptable in todays society and behaviour towards customers is completely unacceptable. Used to be a regular customer but will never be going again!
