Called in for a quick bite for lunch. The staff were super friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge. I had the nachos which were very tasty with a bit of heat and the toasted pita chips were super crunchy. Hubby had the burger. While it was good it wasn’t exceptional. The non alcoholic spritz was very refreshing

The worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Our food took over an hour to arrive, and it was not worth the wait. 1) I had to request fresh, warm, and unburnt Yorkshire puddings for the table. 2) Our roast potatoes were green. 3) The roast beef was nothing but sinew. 4) When our lattes arrived, one was spilt all over a guest at our table, as well as our coats, glasses, and everything in the vicinity. After being approached by what we thought were two separate managers and raising the issues, they just walked away without so much as an apology. I suggest you hire some staff who know how to hold a tray and have a basic understanding of customer service moving forward.

Not having visited the chaser for as while it was nice to go back for a special occasion lunch I found the menue slightly trimmed down but I chose the slow roasted lamb which at just under £30 so I was expecting something special but it was really mediocre potatoes and veg were ok. My wife had the omelette which she added fillings too and said it was really nice . But the thing that we really found hard to swallow was the 10% service charge they have now add for just serving 3 plates. We will think twice before visiting again which is a shame as we have had many memorable meals there
