We had a lovely lunch here. Such a beautiful setting. They are new still and finding their feet with front of house/service etc but we didn't have to wait long for our food, the pizza was delicious and the cakes and ice cream were also really nice.

Over the years we've come to love the friendly incompetence of the cafe at Queen Victoria Country Park. They've always been very slow and totally hopeless but always lovely and friendly. The cedar rooms opened and seemingly doubled capacity. But, bless them, the management have still managed to completely mess it up! 🤣 It's complete chaos; no indication that you can only sit in the new bit if you order food from the bar (it's the same food from the same kitchen), the new bit is virtually empty because of the confusion , no extra catering staff, the existing staff are working their butts off while (what looks like) the 'management' does naff all etc etc etc. Those that run it have managed to completely bungle what should have been a really good cafe/restaurant. Well done to the few staff in the take away who seem to do all the work. Everyone else... Absolutely useless.
