Also website says : "Access your local GP services online Register Now! Book new appointments without having to phone." You cant book GP appts at Patient Access - only the flu jab or private healthcare. Jan 23 - now 2 years and still not seen a doctor at Sleep Clinic. What are we paying for? Oct 22 update - still waiting. I am sitting on bus crying as i am so tired and cannot get any help. Woke up crying. Crying every day now. 18 months of sleep breathing problems,18 months sleep deprivation and still not seen a sleep dr, just phone calls. I hoped this practice would help but so far nothing has moved. Have tried to be patient as i know NHS struggling but i cannot cope. NHS and me both broken now. Hospital doctor just told me the sleep dept is 'in limbo' not seeing patients. What to do?

Hi there I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the staff Memeber of Caversham group practice about HCA Nicalla. She booked my appointment by herself to see if I am doing ok. I have received all the follow ups from her when I arrived she has taken all the necessary steps to make sure I am alright. Brilliantly she booked my appointment with outstanding and very caring dr Charlotte I. First time in 11 years I felt that someone is really concerned about my health and well being. I am extremely grateful to Dr CI and especially Nicalla for their high professional standards to look after the patients at their practice. I love Caversham GP.

A danger to society, I’ve been with with this Surgery for over 8 years and have never seen the same GP more than twice. The practise manager should be imprisoned. The service is shambolic. The reception staff are nice enough it’s just a highly mismanaged place.

The Most unorganised, unethical, neglecting, arrogant and totally unfit to serve people setting I ever seen. Hours of waiting over the phone to get appointed only to get told no appointments available. Referring patients to wrong hospitals and never follow up on. Even with toddler patients. So you have to chase and chase again after month of inaction to discover that Caversham practice let your child's referral get lost and they will never follow up. You can see in the eyes and hear in the tone of the voice of admin personnel you are not welcome and you will NOT get actual service here does not matter how much you try to be nice, patient over the phone and face to face. This practice needs to be revamped to be able to stop damaging further the reputation to NHS and give chance to people who have no means of accessing private health care. And yes, It has been like that before covid. Caversham GP perfectly plays in hands for those who want to justify privatisation of NHS.

My experience at the Caversham has been quite mixed but good. I would say a selection of staff have been quite rude and others quite pleasant. I had spoken to a female staff member during the morning who was very rude and wanted to end the call as fast as possible. It was quite baffling to me. The sarcastic and neutral tone of the voice was shocking to me as all I requested was some blood test results emailed to me. During the process not only was I not sent the email, but I was hung up upon once the ordeal was concluded without checking with me. I had given the benefit of the doubt and assumed the call was disconnected, but I was not called back. A couple of hours later I decided to call back in the afternoon and spoke to a lovely gentleman named Rahim, he was a delight to have. Not only was his mannerism was excellent he managed to solve my issues and send me the email within minutes. During the whole process he was spoke to me kindly and explained every process, even asking what format I wanted (PDF or Word) . By confirming my email he concluded there was an error with the email I had on the system. The email on the system had .com instead of .co.uk and managed to update it for me and send the results as well. Rahim told me that in my document it would give me a list of all my tests, which it did, as well as reference ranges which was very helpful for me. He also was able to reminded me of my next appointment and asked if I required a text to keep as a reminder which I didn't know was an option! Overall my experience was good at the end, but if I may add, expectations should be met at all times and the quality of the practice is reflected on through its employees. Looking at the reviews here its evident that new staff require more training as a bad experience equates to a bad taste.
