This hotel was truly wonderful. The luxury rooms and service are great and then there's the location with its amazing view! The prices are at the bottom of the higher end hotel market and represent very good value for money! Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More

Really disappointed with my stay here, for the money the rooms weren’t up to par. No hand soap in the bathroom, curtain falling down and serious lack of privacy in room with all windows looking onto the car park. Staff seemed out of their depth and flustered and food was average at best. Location a plus point but must do better. Rooms : 2/5 | Service : 2/5 | Location : 4/5 … More

We held our wedding reception here (the gallery restaurant plus the private dining room) after getting married at Chesterfield Town Hall. We had canapés/arrival drinks, followed by a wedding breakfast. This was the first venue we visited and we didn’t view anymore - it was everything we wanted. The location is beautiful, with views out towards Chatsworth - a great taster of the Peak District for guests travelling from further afield. The groom and his family stayed here before the wedding. The rooms and breakfast were outstanding and beyond our expectations. Before the wedding, Kathryn managed all our arrangements. She was brilliant. Super organised, quick responses and guided us through the process. I met up with her a few weeks before the wedding and was able to ask every question I had - she knew everything. It was clear our wedding was in extremely capable hands. On the day, the staff here were incredible - I’ve never experienced a level of service this high before. Very, very professional, really nice and everything went like clockwork. Stuart, the restaurant manager, had every detail under control. He acted as a toast master, called us for cake cutting, let the bride and groom know when the next courses were being served (we were chatting to guests). We even had glasses of prosecco brought to us while we had photographs in the gardens. It was the little details like this that just made the day feel perfect. The restaurant was set up beautifully. The food served was incredible - the reviews of the food was one of our main reasons for booking here. It was the best food we’d ever had at a wedding by far. We had so many compliments from guests. Adam and the team are very talented. Everything was perfect. Very highly recommend.

Food & drinks: Lovely locally sauced, tasty food but not too over facing. Noteworthy details: Seamless, unassuming service.

Very caring and professional personel. There was ongoing noisy and intrusive renovation work. I was not made aware of it before arriving, making the overall experience pretty poor and ridiculously overpriced.

My wife and I went here a few weeks ago. We had the full taster menu with wine which was really nice but not the best we have had. Their seemed a lack of staff and service was average. However I can recommend as I feel they had an off night and feel it can only get better.
