Mrs Kelly and Mrs Davis are absolute gems and the nursery is by far the best in Wimbledon. They create a nurturing and supportive environment for the kids and the teachers there really care about their work and helping the children learn and grow.

This is an excellent school that is easily overlooked. It is run by two sisters who speak their minds freely. This nursery is not for you if you don’t have high expectations and are not prepared to support your children’s learning! My son enjoyed his two years at the Castle and was already reading by the time he started Reception just before he turned 5! His time at the Castle was excellent preparation for big school which he really loves.

A life-changing nursery experience! My son attended the Castle Kindergarten after a very traumatic start at another nursery. Within a week, Mrs Davis had managed to calm his anxiety and integrate him into the Castle so brilliantly that he would happily leave me at the gate and return home at the end of the school day with a smile on his face. Ours was no ordinary nursery experience — our son suffered severe anxiety and night tremors (waking and screaming every 20 minutes during the night) from his experience at his previous nursery. We struggled to get him to leave the house or indeed go anywhere without him glued to our side. Within a matter of weeks, he was a completely changed boy. Castle Kindergarten transformed our little boy’s life — they have given him confidence, calm and completely extinguished his anxiety. What makes the Castle a special and unique nursery is that they think outside the box and adapt their care to each child’s individual needs. The teaching is excellent and thorough (our son has now seamlessly jumped up a year, making up for the year missed between nurseries), but more importantly they have managed to create an environment where our children feel safe and loved. They truly care about the kids. I could not recommend the Castle highly enough.

The Castle Kindergarten is an amazing school with exceptional teachers who really understand children. My son was transformed at Castle Kindergarten from a very scared, nervous and quite difficult boy who we had to remove from his previous school because they had no clue how to help him, to the confident, smiling and highly sociable boy he is today. He THRIVED at Castle. And it is all down to Mrs Davis and Mrs Kelly and their amazing staff. They understand each child is different and needs to be nurtured differently. My Wife and I are truly thankful for what they have done for our son. You cannot be in safer hands than the Castle for pre-schooling. 10/10.

The Castle had been recommended to me by a friend. My daughter attended in 2004/2005. I could not have given her a better start in her academic journey. She was a quiet and shy little girl. At The Castle she gained in confidence, the staff were amazing. Their knowledge and advice on school choices was invaluable. She still has fond memories of her time at nursery and all the fun things they did, her favourite memory is the day “The Farm’ visited and set up for the day in the front playground. So when it was time for my son to go to nursery, some 10 years later, there was only one option, The Castle. When I walked in to register his name, I was amazed to find that the majority of the staff were the same, quite remarkable and that just confirmed to me that the nursery was still as good as it was 10 years before. My son found his first few weeks at nursery quite overwhelming, the support and understanding both he and I received from Mrs Davis and Mrs Kelly and all the staff was excellent. He went on to enjoy the next 18 months at nursery. He is now happy and settled in school, and that is thanks to The Castle.

This is the most well run, well managed nurseries that I have had the pleasure of working in. I have taught Music at Castle Kindergarten for 3 years and I am always impressed by the way the children address the staff and the way they thrive in a wonderfully structured environment. I have worked in many pre-schools over the years but never have I seen a team who support each other so much. (And the staff stay!) Thank you so much for 3 wonderful years - I am only leaving to move overseas. not because I want to, I would have stayed for many more years to come.

Both my girls attended the Castle Kindergarten. They experienced both morning and afternoon sessions. All the staff are friendly, courteous and very helpful. It is very much a two-way street and if I had anything to discuss, someone was always available to talk to me. The nursery teaches the children not just the academic things that they need for school, but it also teaches them valuable life skills. It teaches them to be confident in sharing their thoughts and feelings, how to be independent with their self-care and most importantly it introduces them to the routine of school. I believe that everything they learnt at the nursery, helped them to adjust quickly into school life and gave them skills that they are still able to use today. I am glad that I gave both my children such a solid foundation upon which they can venture out into the world.
