Ex-employee, they started off being fairly nice until they saw I got used to the job. Then, the workload increased rapidly, and the manager wasn't happy that other office staff was helping me (my job wasn't a 1 person job - especially when carers walked out). The director and manager are family, so trying to complain or ask for help was out of question. Meetings were never confidential. Would have a meeting with the director to raise concerns and issues. This would quickly be discussed with the manager after being promised it was all in confidence, and then the manager would be in a foul mood. If the manager felt unwell (tummy pain, mild head ache) she would sit in the other room or another office to rest, leaving 1 or 2 staff members in the main office to deal with everything. Other times, they would go for lunch and come back at 4 pm, or go for a meeting and then not come back at all. Some staff got paid overtime while others didn't. When asked about overtime pay, we got questioned about why we're in this job and our values, yet leaving at 5pm never happened due to workload. Talking too much was not allowed, but then, if you didn't talk and focused on the work, you'd be accused of being unpleasant towards the manager. Manager and director would favour some care staff over others, and make you have the tough conversations with other carers and family members and were made to cover calls because their favourite/long term carer didn't want to. Always made themselves look good by allowing time off or afternoon/evenings off last minute and telling us to cover, knowing we don't have the carers. Care staff was often unbelievably rude to office staff and nothing was ever done, however if they were midly unpleasant to management actions would be taken. Every staff member was bought to tears while working there apart from the manager and director because of the workload, long hours, unrealistic expectations, and stress we were put under. Eventually, I raised a grievance against the manager, and everything was denied and blamed on me. Asked for a reference a year later, and they put me off for a month, kept telling me it would get done, and it never did. The whole team left within months.

Very unprofessional, no names given at start of call even if asked. Helping neighbour who needs care this company has been selling items to my elderly neighbour with no reciepts given. So bad, Police involved also.
