David and the team worked really hard to deliver mine and my husband's wedding cake which was unlike any other - a carousel/galloper inspired wedding cake that moved! Our guests were marvelling at the unique design and won't be forgetting it any time soon. Our cake included meticulously sculpted sugar flowers and figurines of myself, my husband and our baby daughter on white horses with golden manes and even included a red dragon and alpaca at our request. As we sat down to enjoy some flavour samples and talk about the design, we could see David was enthusiastic to work on our cake and we were in safe hands. The team absolutely delivered turning our vision into reality. Not only did the cake look amazing, it tasted fantastic too! The design allowed for five layers and every single flavour tasted so good that it went in a flash. The name of this business is spot on. The cake makers here are indeed architects, sculpting absolute masterpieces! All you need to do is walk past their shop window to see this. We came across the Cake Architect's work at a relatives wedding in 2021. A towering three tiered woodland themed creation that was just epic to behold and delicious to boot! We wanted something fairly modest for our wedding cake - a plain white cake with edible and real flowers in a cascade and a little model our doggo Wally on top! We were worried maybe this might be a bit boring for an artist like David at The Cake Architect but we were not disappointed in the end. David was very accommodating to our ideas and we were very impressed with his professional manner when we went for tastings. And what a tasting it was! With so many different flavours on offer, we were really happy to choose three flavours very different to the usual chocolate and vanilla offerings you'd expect. We went for Summer Berry, Lemon and Elderflower and Mint Choc Chip! All three went down an absolute storm on our wedding day! Especially the mint!! Although the price was a little over our original budget we knew we were paying for perfection and were delighted to place an order! We could not have been more impressed with the outcome, which was delivered and set up by David at our venue on our wedding morning. It was more than just a cake it was a work of art which fit right in with our handcrafted arty theme. We just couldn't have been happier with it. We really cannot recommend The Cake Architect highly enough! If you are looking for an absolute dream of a wedding cake look no further!

David made us a really beautiful cake for our wedding day that not only looked the part, but tasted it too. We went into the process without a particularly clear idea on what exactly we wanted, but David did a fantastic job of guiding us through the design process, providing great ideas and really listening to and taking on board any feedback we had. The end result was a wonderful cake that fit in perfectly with the look and feel of the day, and went down brilliantly with our guests. From a logistical perspective, David did a great job of letting us know timings, and was able to liaise directly with our flower provider for additions to the cake, which really helped things go smoothly. On the day our cake was on display before we even got the venue, giving us one less thing to have to worry about in the morning. I would highly recommend David to anybody looking to arrange a cake for their wedding!
