The bacon was mostly fat which they could have trimmed off but didn't. Probably because its charged by weight. Other products are expensive too for what it is.

I would love to review the products here, but when I've attempted to purchase from them I've been met by very unhelpful staff. Today they were not yet open, though no clear signage was displayed and there was an open door. I said hello about 10 times before one of the 4 people turned around and asked another person to reply to me. This person was a bald man with glasses who rudely said "in half an hour" and as I turned to leave he continued saying something that I couldn't hear. There were 4 people there who could definitely hear me and it took them almost a minute to acknowledge my presence. It's as if they're actively trying to keep people shopping at Tesco.

Love that this is the kind of place that proudly writes up things like the names of the farms their meat is sourced from on any given day, and the age of the chickens on a blackboard, which signals both that they are aware and care about how their meat is raised, and they want to help customers do the same. If you do not have recent experience of buying high quality meat, and can afford to pay the higher prices relative to cheaper meats in supermarkets, try this. Try buying here and cooking the meat using very simple recipes, which leave the flavour of the meat intact rather than being overwhelmed by herbs and spices and sauces. What you will likely find is that the flavour is utterly different to that from supermarket sourced meat. It really has flavour, of its own. Service here is fast and friendly. Hygiene practices appear robust. Love that they are sometimes playing Vengaboys songs whilst they work.

The service at The Butchery is exceptional as are the meats. I go there to get myself meat and my dog treats and Josh or Brian are always happy to help. The sausages here rate as some of the best I've ever had. Top notch, all round.
